National Digital Health Mission: The Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has announced the National Digital Health Mission Programme from Red Fort on the occasion of 74th Independence Day celebration. Under National Digital Health mission, a unique ID card will be provided to the every citizen of India. The digital card will have all the crucial information about the health history of citizen. Information about every illness, its diagnosis and treatment process will be stored digitally. It will be very beneficial to keep record to the illness and treatment procedure which will help in future diagnosis and treatment of illness.
The scheme is launched keeping in mind One Nation One Health Card. All the citizen of India will get a unique health card under this scheme. Basically it is an Aadhar like system where all crucial information or data about health status will be stored. Whenever you visit a doctor, then there is no need to show documents of previous diagnosis and treatment. Doctor will put Digital Health ID on his system and the entire illness and its diagnosis and treatment history will be displayed on the computer screen. There is no specific requirement for obtaining National Digital Health Card under National Digital Health Mission (NDHM). Every citizen is eligible to get the Unique Health ID Card under this scheme.
