Engineering Entrance Exams 2019-20: General Eligibility Criteria

Generally, for undergraduate engineering courses, applicants should qualify 12th standard with physics and mathematics from any recognized board. They must score minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam. For postgraduate courses, candidates must possess a graduate degree in respective stream.

National Level Engineering Entrance Exams 2019  

JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2019

JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main is national level engineering examination through which candidates can take admission in undergraduate engineering and architecture programmes. JEE Main score is considered by almost all top engineering institutes available in the country. It is also a preliminary exam for appearing in JEE Advanced Exam.

JEE Advanced 2019

The candidates who qualify the JEE Main can appear in JEE Advanced exam for admission in IITs and ISM. JEE Advanced exam is regulated by the different IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) on the rotational basis. After qualifying the JEE Advanced, aspirants can take admission in UG, Integrated PG or UG-PG dual degree courses in engineering & architecture etc. streams.

NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) 2019

It is also a national level entrance test through which aspirants can take admission in Architecture programme. The NATA exam is by the Council of Architecture.

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2019

GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test)

GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test) is the gateway to admission in engineering and pharmacy courses in the State of Goa. The exam is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa. The authority also invites architecture & medical aspirants on the basis of NATA & NEET score.

Assam CEE (Common Entrance Examination)

Assam Common Entrance examination (CEE) is a State level entrance test which is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Assam. The exam is held each year for admission in engineering courses.

WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination)

The WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) is a state level entrance test for admission in various UG programmes including engineering, pharmacy programmes in the State of West Bengal. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) administered the WBJEE each year to select eligible students.

KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is regulated by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). After qualifying the test, eligible candidates can take admission in engineering, pharmacy & architecture programmes.

MHT CET (Maharashtra’s Common Entrance Test)

MH CET is Common Entrance Test in the Maharashtra State through eligible candidates can take admission in different UG courses in engineering, pharmacy streams. Interested candidates must apply as per the prescribed schedule.

HP CET (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test)

The Himachal Pradesh Technical University is the exam conducting authority for HPCET (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test). It is a State level entrance test which is held once a year. Candidates after qualifying the HPCET can take admission in different engineering institutes of the State.

KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Examination)

The Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala administers the KEAM exam in the State. Candidates seeking admission in the engineering courses in the Kerala State can appear in this exam for getting admission in the desired engineering course.

CG PET (Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test)

CG PET exam is a state level entrance test through which aspirants can take admission in engineering and allied courses in the Chhattisgarh State. Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board regulates the entire examination process. Aspirants have to qualify the entrance test for getting admission in the desired course.

UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam)

Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) is the gateway for admission in the various undergraduate courses in different streams like engineering, pharmacy, management, architecture etc. The UPSEE exam is conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Uttar Pradesh.

TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions)

The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is regulated by the Anna University, Chennai. Aspirants seeking admission in engineering programmes can apply TNEA as per the admission schedule of the Anna University. Admissions will be allotted on the basis of 12th class performance of the candidates.

BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test)

BITSAT is a University level entrance exam which is organized by Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani. BITSAT is an online entrance test which held on computer. Interested candidates must apply online as per the schedule notified for the exam.

VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam)

VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) is a university level entrance test for admission in B.Tech. courses in the University.  The exam is conducted by VIT University through online mode. Admission will be held in the University on the candidates’ merit.

AEEE (Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination)

Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) is a university level entrance test organized by the Amrita University. After qualifying the test, the candidates can take admission in engineering courses at Amritapuri, Ettimadai, Bengaluru and Vengal campuses of the University.

VITMEE (VIT University Master’s Entrance Examination)

VIT University conducts entrance test each year for admission in its Master’s degree courses. The entrance test is known as VITMEE. Eligible candidates who are willing to pursue master’s degree courses in the VIT University can appear in this exam.
