Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2021 is likely to start from the last week of June 2021. Aspirants seeking admission in medical courses must have to participate in State or Centralize NEET counselling after the qualifying NEET exam. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a national level medical entrance exam which will be conducted by National Testing Agency from the year 2019 onward. Earlier the NEET exam was conducted by CBSE. Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS Admission: Selection Procedure

The candidates after qualifying the NEET exam have to through certain steps to complete the admission process. Qualified candidates have to participate in the counselling process for getting admission. In order to get admission in MBBS/BDS programme, the following steps are to be followed:

Filling of Application Form

  • The candidates have to submit the application form for participating in the counselling process.
  • After accessing the application form, fill all the details carefully.
  • Also, paste recent passport size photograph and put the signature in the space provided.
  • Once the application form is filled completely, send it to the following address through speed post/courier:

Payment of Application Fee

  • Candidates must pay an application fee amounting Rs.500/-
  • The fee can be paid in the form of Demand Draft which should be drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-600010” payable at Chennai.
  • The payment of application fee is the mandatory requirement. Nonpayment of the fee may lead to the rejection of candidature.
  • It is important to mention here that the fee is non-refundable in nature.

Announcement of Merit List

  • The competent authority will assess candidates’ marks scored in the NEET 2021 exam and accordingly will prepare merit list.
  • The merit list will be declared through online mode.
  • Qualified candidates as per the merit list, will be called for the further round of admission process.

Choice Filling and Locking

  • The candidates have to go through the choice filling process during the counselling process.
  • Candidates must attend counselling in person on the given date and time.
  • The date, time and address of the venue will be available on call letter.
  • Candidates can obtain the call letter from the website which can be downloaded easily.

Seat Allotment & Reporting to the Allotted College

  • After completion of counselling round, the seat allotment will be done.
  • Seat allotment depends on candidate’s performance in the exam, choice-filled and availability of seats.
  • After seat allotment, the eligible candidate has to report to the allotted college for acknowledging the seat.
  • Candidates are recommended to reach institute/college within the specified time limit on given date.
  • Also carry all the relevant documents such as seat allotment letter, receipt of fee paid, educational certificates etc.
  • Medical examination will also be done before final admission.
