AYUSH Admission 2019 mop round counselling will start from 23rd August 2019 and it will close on 26th August 2019. The students willing to get admission in AYUSH UG courses such as BAMS, BUMS, BSMS & BHMS, should have basic information about these courses. It is our past experience that many students do not know about the admission process of AYUSH UG Courses. The aspirants have to attend NEET exam and should qualify the exam with minimum qualifying marks. On the basis of NEET Score, candidates have to participate in State Counselling as well as Centralized counselling for admission in the desired course whether it is BAMS, BUMS, BSMS or BHMS. The information regarding BAMS, BUMS, BSMS & BHMS Admission 2019 will be updated here from time to time.

Update: The AYUSH Centralized Counselling schedule has been released online on the official website. Now, the eligible candidates can take part in the Counselling process for admission in the desired AYUSH UG course. The registration process has been started on 25th June 2019. It is pertinent to mention here that the State Government will conduct Counselling for 85% seats while Ministry of AYUSH will conduct 15% All India Quota seats. The State, as well as Central Authority, will prepare merit list as per the candidates’ performance in the NEET exam and accordingly, seat allotment will be done.

It is important to clarify here that the counselling registration fee will be non-refundable in nature. However, the security deposit money will be refunded later as per the rules if candidates do not get the college/seat. 

The first round seat allotment final result for AYUSH UG courses has been declared on 4th July 2019. Candidates can download the seat allotment letter from the official website. The qualified candidates have to report to the allotted college within 5th July to 15th July 2019. Those who have not selected in the first, can go for 2nd round counselling. No further registration and counselling fee required. Exercise the options again as per the directions.

What’s New About AYUSH Admission 2019

Aspirants must know that the AYUSH UG/PG admission will be allotted to the eligible candidates as per the State Counselling as well as Centralized counselling. The State Authority will conduct counselling for 85% quota seats while remaining 15% seats will be allotted on the basis of Centralized Counselling. The Ministry of AYUSH will publish the notification for Centralized Counselling soon on its official website. We will update the latest information regarding the AYUSH UG admission 2019 here as and when available. 

AYUSH Admission 2019-20: Procedure

The candidates are recommended to collect complete information about the BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS admission procedure. Practice hard to qualify the NEET exam and secure a good rank in the exam. Qualified candidates of the NEET exam will have to attend AYUSH UG Counselling for final admission. The candidates should know that the AYUSH UG admission will be held on the basis of State Counselling. In this regard, the respective State authority will publish the notification on its official website.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has no role in admission or Counselling of AYUSH UG Admission. The Ministry of AYUSH grants annual permission to the Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani & Homoeopathy (ASU&H) colleges for admission in current academic session. List of permitted Government/Private ASU&H colleges will be placed on the official website of the Ministry. Candidates can check the same by accessing official website of the Ministry.

How to get admission in BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS courses in the academic session 2019-20?

The students have to attend NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) 2019 which will be conducted by National Testing Agency.  Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks for admission in BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS course. Those who will qualify the test will have to attend State Counselling on scheduled date and time for admission in the desired course.

What is the role of Ministry of AYUSH in BAMS/BUMS/BSMS/BHMS admissions?

The Ministry of AYUSH has no direct role in admission or counselling of BAMS, BUMS, BSMS & BHMS courses. The Ministry of AYUSH is a policy-making authority which grants permission to ASU&H colleges on annual basis.

What is the Counselling procedure for admission in AYUSH UG Courses 2019? Should we register for NEET 2019 Counselling?

The respective State Authority will conduct Counselling separately for AYUSH UG Admissions 2019. Candidates need not to register for NEET 2019 Counselling. The State Authority will publish notification for AYUSH Counselling on the respective official website. Candidates must keep eye on updates for AYUSH Admission 2019.

Sir, is it mandatory to qualify the NEET exam?

Yes, candidates must qualify the NEET exam in order to participate in the AYUSH Counselling 2019. Those who failed to achieve minimum qualifying marks will not be eligible for admission/Counselling.

Can I approach college for direct admission without appearing in State Counselling?

No. Admission will be held through State Counselling only. Candidates must appear in State Counselling for admission in the desired course.

Can I apply for admission to other State?

Yes. However, candidates are recommended to go through Counselling guidelines of the concerned state. If the concerned State is allowing other State candidates then you can register for the Counselling process.

What is the admission process of National Institute like NIA, Jaipur, NIUM, Bangalore, NIH, Kolkata etc.?

The process is similar, candidates must qualify the NEET exam. However, Counselling of these institutes will be conducted by their respective universities. Candidates should visit the official website of the respective university for information regarding AYUSH Admission/Counselling 2019.

    • You can try govt. BAMS college through State Counselling but it is tough to get admission in Govt. BAMS seat through AIQ counselling.

    • Jyoti Roy, you can admission in Maharashtra if you have domicile of Maharashtra. I don’t think there is any problem. However, wait for the official notification for counselling.

    • For Government college, I think 400 + marks should be there in NEET Exam. However, we cannot predict exact cut-off marks for Govt. BAMS seat. Good luck.
