Types of MOMA Scholarships
There are three types of MOMA scholarships, which are issued to eligible candidates by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The details of these scholarships are as below:
Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities
The Pre- Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities is aimed to provide financial aid to the Students of minority communities from class 1 to 10. The meritorious and underprivileged students of minority communities can apply for the pre-matric minority Scholarship. Under this scholarship, eligible candidates can get financial aid of Rs.600/- per month. However, students should fulfil basic eligibility norms like the family income of the applicants must not be more than Rs. 1 Lakh and he/she should have scored at least 50% marks in the last final exam.
Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities
The post-matric scholarship scheme is also a minority welfare scheme through which minority community candidates can seek financial assistance for completing study from class 11 to Ph.D. Under this scheme, candidates can get Rs.10000/- per annum along with the maintenance allowance of Rs.1200/- month. However, the applicant’s family income should not be more than Rs.2 Lakh and he/she should have score minimum 50% marks in the previous exam.
Merit-Cum-Means Scholarships for Professional and Technical Courses CS
The Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses under the MOMA Scholarships scheme is an important scheme to help disadvantaged groups of Minority communities. Under this scheme, a sum of Rs.20,000 per annum will be given the selected candidates for pursuing professional and technical courses at UG and PG levels. There are certain eligibility norms, which everyone must fulfil. The candidates should have obtained minimum 50% marks in the previous exam and his/her family annual income should not exceed Rs.2.5 lakhs.
MOMA Scholarships 2021 Eligibility Criteria
There are three types of MOMA scholarship schemes as stated above. These schemes specifically aimed to provide financial help to the poor minority community students so that they can pursue their education without any problem. - The family income of the applicants should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh per annum from all sources.

The students of minority communities, who are willing to take benefit of MOMA Scholarships 2021, should know the registration process. In this regard, candidates have to access the official website of the National Scholarship Portal. Here are the guidelines for submitting MOMA Scholarship 2021 Application form:
- The candidates, who are registering as fresh applicants, need to visit the official portal of NSP and register as new users.
- Candidates must provide each and every detail correctly in the application form.
- Keep all the documents ready for applying online for a particular scholarship scheme.
- Candidates need to fill the necessary information such as academic qualification details, Aadhar Number, Bank Details, School/College Enrolment Number, State, etc. in the application form.

MOMA Scholarships: Terms & Conditions
The candidates must be aware of the terms and conditions prescribed for different MOMA scholarships. The terms & conditions of MOMA scholarships are as below:
- There is 30% of seats are reserved for the female candidates of minority communities in State/UT.
- However, the scholarship can be transferred to the male students in case of non-availability of eligible female candidates.
- Only two students from a family can be granted scholarships under MOMA scholarships.
- If any candidate violates the rules of institute/college then his/her scholarship is liable to be rejected.
- Information provided by the candidates in the application form must be correct. Hiding facts regarding eligibility criteria will cost later.
- The selected candidates will receive the scholarship amount directly in their bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
- If a candidate is availing benefits of any other scholarship schemes then he/she cannot avail the benefits of MOMA Scholarships.
