Types of MOMA Scholarships

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

The Pre- Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities is aimed to provide financial aid to the Students of minority communities from class 1 to 10. The meritorious and underprivileged students of minority communities can apply for the pre-matric minority Scholarship. Under this scholarship, eligible candidates can get financial aid of Rs.600/- per month. However, students should fulfil basic eligibility norms like the family income of the applicants must not be more than Rs. 1 Lakh and he/she should have scored at least 50% marks in the last final exam.

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

The post-matric scholarship scheme is also a minority welfare scheme through which minority community candidates can seek financial assistance for completing study from class 11 to Ph.D. Under this scheme, candidates can get Rs.10000/- per annum along with the maintenance allowance of Rs.1200/- month. However, the applicant’s family income should not be more than Rs.2 Lakh and he/she should have score minimum 50% marks in the previous exam.

Merit-Cum-Means Scholarships for Professional and Technical Courses CS

The Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses under the MOMA Scholarships scheme is an important scheme to help disadvantaged groups of Minority communities. Under this scheme, a sum of Rs.20,000 per annum will be given the selected candidates for pursuing professional and technical courses at UG and PG levels. There are certain eligibility norms, which everyone must fulfil.   • The candidates, who are registering as fresh applicants, need to visit the official portal of NSP and register as new users.

  • There is 30% of seats are reserved for the female candidates of minority communities in State/UT.
  • However, the scholarship can be transferred to the male students in case of non-availability of eligible female candidates.
  • Only two students from a family can be granted scholarships under MOMA scholarships.
  • If any candidate violates the rules of institute/college then his/her scholarship is liable to be rejected.
