Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates who are pursuing technical and professional courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level from a recognized college/institute can apply for this scholarship.
  • However, applicants must belong to the Minority communities.
  • The applicants must have scored at least 50% marks in the last final exam.
  • Candidate’s total family income should not be more than 2.50 Lakhs from all the sources.
  • The candidates should have got admission after qualifying competitive entrance exams or minimum 50% marks in 12th Class or Graduation (in case of direct admission).

Benefits under this scholarship

  • Course fee (for both Hosteller & Day Scholar): Rs.20,000/- per annum or equal, whichever is less
  • Maintenance Allowance for Hosteller: Rs.1000/- per month (for 10 months in an academic year).
  • Maintenance allowance for Day Scholar: Rs. 500/- per month (for 10 months in an academic year).

  • The candidates can apply online on the official website of the National Scholarship Portal.
  • The official website is i.e. https://scholarships.gov.in/.
  • Visit the website and click on the New Registration link.
  • Read all the instructions and select the undertaking and continue.
  • Enter name, father name, corresponding address, date of birth, contact details like mobile number & e-mail ID, Scholarship Category, Type of Scheme (Scholarship Scheme) etc. information in the form.
  • Candidates should enter bank details such as Bank Account Number, Name of Bank, IFSC Code.
  • Then Select Aadhar or Bank Account Number as identification details and then click on the “Register” button.
  • A system generated OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number for authentication.
  • Login with the application ID and password and complete the further application process.
  • Be careful while making entries in the form as correction cannot be done later.
  • The applicants can apply only one application form. More than one application form is liable to be rejected.
  • Submit the application and take a printout of the same for future reference.

Selection Procedure

The competent authority will select the eligible candidates based on their academic merit and financial stability.

Terms and Conditions:

  • There will be 30% scholarships reserved for girl students of every minority community in State/UT. The seats will be transferred to the male students if there is non-availability of girl applicants.
  • The total course fee will be reimbursed for 85 listed candidates.
  • The candidates should have 50% marks in the last year’s exam for the continuation of award.
  • If a student failed to achieve 50% marks in the previous exam then the scholarship award shall be discontinued.
  • Only 2 students from a family can avail the scheme’s benefits.
