The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga generally referred to as MDNIY is a prestigious Yoga Institute situated in Delhi (Near Gol Dak Khana at Ashoka Road). MDNIY Admission 2021: Application Released
- The competent authority i.e. Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga under Ministry of AYUSH has released application forms for various programmes.
- The application forms for B.Sc. (Yoga) and M.Sc. (Yoga) programme can be submitted by 15th July 2021. More details about the programme will be updated later on the official website.
- Candidates seeking admission in diploma yoga courses can apply online as per the prescribed schedule.
- The application form for Diploma in Yoga Science (DYSc.) 2021-22 can be submitted online from 5th July to 4th August 2021. Eligible candidates can as per the schedule.
- The candidates can also apply for Foundation Course in Yoga Science for Wellness as per the guidelines.

B.Sc. (Yoga Science) for 10+2 Science Stream students in Biology
The B.Sc. (Yoga) is a degree course in Yoga which is a three years duration course. The programme is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. Those who are eligible as per the prescribed norms must apply as per the given schedule. Check the following norms with regard to B.Sc. (Yoga) course:
- Eligibility: 12th class passed with 10+2 pattern from the CBSE board or equivalent with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subject to the condition that he/she must have passed in each subject.
- The course is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Dwaraka, New Delhi.
- It is a full-time 3 years duration course (6 semesters), which is designed to enhance the Yoga Skills, knowledge and techniques to enable them to become qualified yoga professionals.
- Age Limit: The applicants’ age should not exceed 21 years as of 01.08.2021. Age relaxation is applicable as per the University norms.
- Intake Capacity: 30 Seats, reservation of seats will be as per the University norms.
- Selection Procedure: The University will conduct a Common Entrance Test (CET). Selection will be held on the basis of a merit list prepared on the basis of marks secured in the CET.
- Syllabus of CET: The syllabus of the Common Entrance Test is as under:
- Physics: 30 questions
- Chemistry: 30 questions
- Biology: 30 questions or biotechnology- 30 questions
- Mathematics: 30 questions
- General Awareness: 15 questions
- English Language & Comprehension: 15 questions
D.Y.Sc. (Diploma in Yoga Science) for Graduates
- Eligibility: One who possesses, a graduate degree in any stream from a recognized University with at least 50% marks will be eligible for admission to D.Y.Sc. Course.
- Those who belong to the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) need to have 45% only in the qualifying exam.
- The Diploma in Yoga Science for Graduates (D.Y.Sc.) is a full-time one-year duration course (two semesters).
- Intake Capacity: 120+12 seats are reserved for the special category.

Guidelines for DYSc. Course
- Only eligible candidates can submit an application form for Diploma in Yoga Science.
- Candidates must pay the registration/application fee to complete the application process.
- The entrance test is scheduled to be held on 12th August 2021.
- The MDNIY will publish the selection list on its official website i.e. www.yogamdniy.nic.in.
- However, the selection list will also be displayed on the MDNIY Notice Board.
- No personal information will be provided to the applicants.
- Candidates can download the application form from the Institute’s website.
- The office timings of the MDNIY institute are 09.00 AM to 05.30 PM on all working days (Monday to Friday).
- Kindly get the proper acknowledgement for the receipt of the application and supportive documents if sent via post.
Application Fee
The candidates have to make a payment of Rs.1000/- as a registration/application fee. However, SC/ST/EWS candidates need to pay Rs.500/- only. Certificate Course in Yoga
It is a four months duration course on Invitation. The course is designed to enhance the social health management of working stress and development of Special Interest Group which is started by MDNIY as a certificate course in Yoga Science for Target Group (Para-Military Personnel). The intake capacity of seats is 100.
FCYScW (Foundation Course in Yoga Science for Wellness)
- Eligibility: All individuals who have passed the 10th standard examination from a recognized board can apply for this course. However, the person who has not completed matriculation or equivalent education but is found suitable may also be considered eligible for this course with the permission of the Director, MDNIY.
- It is a one-month duration course, which has 50 hours of yoga sessions.
- The classes are conducted 5 days a week for 2 hours.
- The intake capacity of this course is 30 trainees per batch.
- Only eligible candidates can apply for this certification course. The fee will not be refunded in any case.
- Make a payment of Rs.3000/- as a course fee and keep the transaction ID safe for record purposes. The bank details are given above.

Certificate Course in Yogasana (CCY) for Health Promotion
- The CCY (Certificate Course in Yogasana) for health promotion is 3 months duration part-time course which is conducted for 3 alternate days (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday).
- Eligibility: 12th passed candidates from a recognized board or its equivalent shall be eligible to get admission in this course.
- Intake Capacity: 50 candidates per batch.
Certificate Course in Pranayama and Meditation (CCPM)
- The certificate course in Pranayama & Meditation for health promotion is a 3 months duration part-time course which is conducted on 3 alternate days (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).
- Eligibility: 12th passed candidates from any recognized institute/board shall be eligible.
- Intake capacity: 50 candidates per batch.
Advance Yoga Sadhana
- Advance Yoga Sadhana is a part-time 6 months duration course, which is conducted on 5 days from Monday to Friday.
- Eligibility: One who has completed a certificate course in Yogasana or Pranayama & Meditation of MDNIY can apply.
- Intake Capacity: 50 students.
