BHU LLB Eligibility Criteria 2020: The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) runs LLB programme and for admission in LLB course, the university conducts an entrance test. BHU LLB Eligibility Criteria 2020: Important Highlights

Candidates seeking LLB courses in BHU need to go through the BHU LLB entrance test and to appear in the entrance test one should meet the certain eligibility conditions prescribed by the university. These conditions are as under:

B.A. LL.B (Hons.)

  • Applicants must have completed 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent qualification from a recognized board/institute.
  • Those who are appearing in the 10+2 or equivalent exam are also eligible subject to the condition that their result should be declared before commencement of admission.
  • Applicants must obtain at least 50% marks aggregate in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidate must have secured at least 50% marks aggregate (45% for OBC candidates and 40% for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying exam
  • Age of the students should not be more than 20 years as on 1st July 2020.

LL. B. (Hons.)(Bachelor of Law)

  • Candidates should hold Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • The one who is appearing in the final year/semester of the qualifying exam can also eligible to apply subject to the outcome of the result.
  • They must obtain the minimum 50% marks aggregate in the qualifying exam.
  • As on 1st July, 2020 candidate’s age should not be more than 30 years.

NOTE: The candidates who completed their 10+2 or Graduation through distance learning mode, will not be considered eligible as per the direction issued by Bar Council of India.
