Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Admission 2022 process is likely to commence from February 2022 for various undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. The application form for the research programme is expected to be available in the month of August 2022. The university offers admission to different UG, PG and research courses on the basis of entrance tests. Interested candidates can apply online for the desired course on the official website. A separate exam will be conducted for admission to different UG/PG courses. The admission to the MBA programme will be given on the basis of a CAT score. BHU Application Form 2022

Application form for Banaras Hindu University Admission 2022 can be obtained from the entrance test portal of the university www.bhuonline.in. Candidates interested in admission into different courses can fill and submit their application form through online mode:

  • Candidates have to visit the official website of the Banaras Hindu University for accessing the online application form.
  • It is expected that the BHU UET and BHU PET registration will start from the 2nd week of February 2022.
  • To fill the application form, the candidates will have to provide their personal, academic, contact and other basic details.
  • Candidates will also have to upload the scanned copies of their photographs and signature into the application form.
  • Along with the form, the candidates will also have to submit the prescribed application fee.
  • Payment of application fee can be done using debit/ credit card, net banking or through HDFC bank challan.

BHU 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for a few courses for which the entrance exam will be conducted are given below. Candidates can learn the details of the eligibility criteria from the official website also.

For UG courses:

  • BA (Hons) Social Sciences: Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • B.Ed.: Candidates with bachelor’s and/ or master’s degrees in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce with at least 50% marks or BE/ B.Tech. with specialization in Science and Mathematics and minimum 55% marks are eligible.
  • B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture: Passed in 10+2 with agriculture or Science (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology) or equivalent securing at least 50% marks in aggregate, is required.
  • LLB (Hons): BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ Shastri degree securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate 45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ ST applicant is required.
  • BFA: The applicants should pass the 10+2 or equivalent exams securing at least 50% aggregate marks.

For PG courses:

  • Acharya in Buddha Darshan: Those with Shastri (Hons)/ Shastri degree in the concerned subject (studied in all three years) and a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate are eligible.
  • MA in Economics: BA (Hons)/ BA/ B.Sc (Hons)/ B.Sc securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate is required.
  • B.Sc Geology: Candidates should hold B.Sc (Hons)/ B.Sc with at least 50% aggregate marks in Science subjects. Geology must be subject studied in all three years at graduation.
  • MA in Mass Communication: Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate is required.

For research courses:

  • PhD: A pass in master’s degree in relevant field with at least 55% marks and a minimum of 50% marks in Academic Record is required.
  • M.Phil: Candidates with a postgraduate degree in the relevant field with minimum 55% marks are eligible.

BHU Admission 2022 Exam Pattern

The pattern of the exam conducted for Banaras Hindu University Admission 2022 is given below:

For UET

  • Mode of exam: It will be an online test i.e. computer-based test.
  • Language: Questions will be available in both English and Hindi language.
  • Test Duration: The exam duration will be 2.30 hours.
  • of Questions: There will be total 150 objective type questions in the exam.
  • Questions Type: All the questions will be multiple choices in nature.
  • Max Marks: The maximum marks of the question paper will be 450 Marks.
  • Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be awarded for every correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for the wrong attempt.

For PET

  • Mode of exam: BHU PET is a computer-based test.
  • Language: Questions will be available in both English and Hindi language.
  • Test Duration: The exam duration will be 2.00 hours.
  • of Questions: 120 objective type questions will be asked in the exam.
  • Questions Type: All the questions will be multiple choices in nature.
  • Max Marks: The maximum marks of the question paper will be 360 Marks.
  • Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be awarded for every correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for the wrong attempt.

BHU 2022 Admit Card

  • The candidates can download the admit card for the entrance exam from the official website of the university.
  • Candidates should take a printout of the downloaded admit card and carry it to the exam centre on the day of the exam.
  • Details of the exam such as time, date and venue will be printed on the admit card.
  • No candidates will be allowed to enter the exam hall and take their exam in the absence of a valid admit card.
  • Admit card will only be released online and will not be sent through any other means such as post or courier.

BHU Syllabus 2022

The syllabus for the undergraduate exam will be based on the curriculum of class 12th standard and for the postgraduate exam, it will be based on the curriculum of the specific undergraduate course. BHU Admission 2022 Result

  • The university will announce the result of the entrance test on its portal www.bhuonline.in.
  • Along with the result, the marks obtained by the candidates and their overall and category-wise will also be emailed on the registered email id.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be able to download the call letter from the portal and appear for the counselling and admission round.
  • Candidates who report for admission must carry with them all the important documents in original and photocopy.
  • Final admission will be granted to the candidates as per their merit upon successful verification of certificates and eligibility.
