It is important to inform you there are approximately 227 Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses are running in the University. IGNOU 2022 Application Form
The application form for IGNOU 2022 academic programmes for different courses can be submitted as per the following guidelines:
- IGNOU 2022 application form for OPENMAT is expected to be released in the 3rd week of October 2021.
- Candidates can apply for different programmes through online mode. There is no other way or platform to submit application form.
- Candidates must fill particulars including personal details, academic qualification and address correctly in the application form.
- Any chance of modification or correction in the application form will not be provided later after submission of the application form.
- The registration process consist of various steps such as Online Registration, Filling details in the application form, Images/Documents uploading and payment of the registration fee.
- We recommend the applicants to read all the information carefully before submitting application form.
- After submitting the form, take printout of the application for further process.
Application Fee
The application fee will be Rs.1000/- per application. Payment of the fee can be paid through online mode such as net banking, debit/credit card. Registration fee is mandatory which will be non-refundable in nature.
IGNOU 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Check eligibility criteria for IGNOU 2022 OPENMAT and B.Ed. Programme below:
For B.Ed. Programme
- Qualifying Exam: One who has completed Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree programme from a recognized University will be eligible OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with Mathematics and Science streams or any equivalent qualification with at least 55% marks.
- Qualifying Marks: Candidates should have scored at least 50% in the qualifying exam in different streams like Commerce, Science, Humanity and Social Sciences
- Ed. Entrance Test: Applicants must qualify the IGNOU B.Ed. Entrance Test for getting admission in the B.Ed. Programme.
For Management Courses
- Qualifying Exam: The candidates should have completed bachelor degree along with professional degree in Law/Medicine/Engineering/ICAI/ICWAI/ICSI mandatorily.
- Qualifying Marks: The applicants must have secured 50% (45% marks for reserved category) marks in graduation level.
- The aspirants must qualify the IGNOU OPENMAT 2021 exam for getting admission.
- Age limit: No age bar for appearing in the IGNOU Exam.
For Other Programmes:
- BCA: Applicants should have completed 12th standard or its equivalent exam from a recognized university with mathematics subjects.
- Sc.: 12th Standard or its equivalent exam from a recognized board/institute.
- BBA: Applicants need to be completed 12th standard or equivalent exam from a recognized institute/board.
IGNOU Admission 2022 Exam Pattern
The entrance test for various courses will be different based on syllabus and stream. Here candidates can check OPENMAT 2022 and IGNOU B.Ed. Entrance Test 2021 exam pattern:
IGNOU OPENMAT Exam Pattern
- Exam Mode: It is a pen and paper based test (offline).
- Test Duration: 3 hours will be given to complete the exam.
- of Questions: Total 200 questions will be asked in the exam.
- Total Marks: 200 marks, it means each question will carry 1 mark.
- Subject Section: There will be four sections General Awareness, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language.
- Negative Marking: No provision of negative marking is there.
- The subject-wise distribution of the question will be as per the following manner:

IGNOU B.Ed. Exam Pattern
- Exam Mode: Offline i.e. pen and paper based test.
- Test Duration: 120 minutes will be provided to complete the test.
- of Questions: Total 100 questions will be there in the test.
- Total Marks: It will be of 100 marks question paper.
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be granted for each correct response.

IGNOU 2022 Admit Card
The IGNOU 2022 admit card will be released online on the official website of the IGNOU. Once you submit the application form then you can download the admit card as per the instructions within the stipulated time frame. No printed version of admit card will be sent to any applicant.
OPENMAT January session admit card will be released in the 2nd week of December 2021 while August session admit card will be released in the month of June 2022.
The admit card for IGNOU B.Ed. Entrance Test 2022 will be released in the 2nd week of December 2021. Candidate must carry the admit card while appearing in the entrance test otherwise the examination authority has all rights reserved to cancel the candidature.
IGNOU Entrance Test 2022 Result
The IGNOU 2022 entrance test result will be announced through online mode after completion of the entrance test. Candidates have to visit official website for downloading the result. The result will consist of information like candidature marks/qualifying status.
OPENMAT 2022 January session result will be declared in the month of January 2022 while August session result will be declared in the July 2022.
Admission in any course will be held only on the basis of merit. The competent authority will prepare a merit list of the candidates based on marks or rank secured in the exam. Thereafter, qualified candidates will be called for appearing in the counselling process.
IGNOU Admission 2022 Counselling
The meritorious candidates will be invited to attend the counselling process for further admission procedure. Candidates have to report to the regional centre of the IGNOU as per the directions. Counselling process will be completed in different sessions and timing as per the course and stream.
During the counselling process, candidates have to submit application form, printout of the result, category certificate if applicable and other documents as per the directions. We recommend the students to follow all the admission related rules till admission is not completed.
