IGNOU OPENMAT Eligibility Criteria 2021: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has invited the OPENMAT 2021 application as per the schedule. Candidate should know that the OPENMAT exam held two times in year generally in the month of August and February. Candidate can appear in any one of the exam. IGNOU OPENMAT Eligibility Criteria 2021: Basic Requirement
Candidate interested in appearing in the IGNOU OPENMAT exam must fulfill the basic minimum eligibility conditions. The important information in respect of IGNOU OPENMAT eligibility criteria are placed below:
- Applicants must possess a Graduation degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline/stream with minimum 50% marks.
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ST) as Government of India rules, should secure at least 45% marks only.
- Apart from above, the candidate should also have 3 years’ managerial/professional/ supervisory experience.
- Candidates having a professional degree in Law/Engineering/Medicine/Cost Accountancy (Cost and Works Accountancy)/ Chartered Accountancy (ICAI)/Company Secretary-ship (ICSI) with minimum 50% marks are also eligible.
- There is no age limit for appearing in the IGNOU OPENMAT.
Note: The candidates should meet the above requirements in order to appear in the exam but they must clear the IGNOU OPENMAT entrance test for admission in management programme.
Important Highlights in respect of IGNOU OPENMAT Eligibility Criteria 2021
- The Bachelor degree required for appearing in the exam should not less than 3 years duration.
- Candidates appearing in the final year/semester of the qualifying exam are eligible to appear in OPENMAT.
- Incomplete application will not be accepted in any case hence, be careful while filling up an online application form.
- However, candidates should fulfil the above-mentioned eligibility requirements by the last date for submission of application form for admission (Form-II) in Management Programme.
- IGNOU University has all rights reserved for granting/denying admission to any candidates.
- If any candidate found ineligible at any stage, the competent authority will cancel his/her candidature immediately.
OPENMAT Eligibility Criteria For Foreign Candidates
- Foreign candidates who are living in India on student VISA for the minimum duration of programme are eligible to seek admission in IGNOU courses.
- They need to submit the requisite fee as per the rules. Candidates can avail application fee details from the official prospectus.
- International Division of the University after verifying attendance from Ministry of External Affairs/Ministry of Human Resource and Development will process the admission of foreign candidates.
IGNOU OPENMAT: Admission Process
Candidates who are seeking admission in management course offered by IGNOU and meeting the above-mentioned IGNOU OPENMAT eligibility criteria, need to go through OPENMAT entrance exam. Appearing in the entrance test or eligible for appearing does not give any right to the candidates to claim for admission. Admission will be finalized only on the basis of OPENMAT score, availability of seats and other eligibility requirements. IGNOU is the competent authority which will take the final call on admission.
