UPTET Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must fulfill the eligibility requirement prescribed by the competent authority for the UPTET exam. We recommended aspirants to check eligibility requirements first before proceeding for applying online. The eligibility requirements for both primary level and junior high school level are different from each other which are explained below:
Eligibility Criteria for Primary Level (Class 1 to 5)
- Candidates must have passed 12th standard (senior secondary school) exam with at least 50% marks.
- Those who are in the final year of the B.El.Ed. are also eligible to apply.
- One who has completed graduation and studying in the 2nd year of BTC from NCTE affiliated institute can also apply.
- Final year candidates of D.Ed.(Specialisation) from RCI recognized institute can apply.
- Candidates holding the diploma in teaching from Aligarh Muslim University are eligible to submit the UPTET application form.
Eligibility Criteria for Upper Primary Level (Class 6 to 8)
- Candidates must have passed the 12th standard (SSC) from a recognized institute with at least 50% marks.
- Those who have completed a degree programme or studying in the 2nd year of BTC from an NCTE affiliated institute are also eligible.
- The one who has completed graduation or post graduation with at least 50% marks can apply.
- L.T. passed or studying in 2nd year in NCTE affiliated institute are also eligible to apply.
- B.Ed. (specialization) passed or appearing in the 2nd year from a recognized institute can apply.
Age Limit
The candidates should fulfil the age limit criteria in order to appear in the exam. Candidates’ age must be within 18 to 35 years. However, reserved category candidates will be eligible to get age relaxation under the current reservation rules. Check category wise age limit criteria below:

UPTET 2021 Application Form
The eligible candidates as per the prescribed eligibility requirements can proceed with submitting the application form. Aspirants have to follow certain steps for completing the UPTET Application Form:
- The UPTET 2021 application form will be available online on the official website.
- Application form can be submitted through online mode.
- The applicants need to fill in personal details, academic qualification details and address etc. in the application form.
- Upload the scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications.
- Also, pay the requisite application fee of Rs.400/- (Rs.200/- for reserved category candidates).
- One can make payment through online modes such as net banking and debit/credit card.
- Submit the application form after making the entries in the form and take the printout of the same for future reference.
Application Fee
The candidates have to pay the mandatory application fee to complete the registration. Payment can be done through online modes such as net banking, debit card/credit card etc. The fee structure as below:
- General category candidates are required to pay Rs.600/- for Paper-I and Rs. 1200/- for both Paper-I & Paper-II.
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ST) need to pay Rs.400/- for Paper-I and Rs.800/- for both Paper-I & Paper-II.

UP TET 2021 Admit card
The candidates can download the admit card from the official website as the competent authority will issue UPTET admit card via online mode. UPTET admit card will be available at least two or three weeks before the date of the exam. Candidates have to put their registration number and date of birth on the concerned page for downloading the admit card.
Take the printout of the admit card keep it safe for taking the exam. Must carry admit card on the day of the exam as it is mandatory for getting entry in the exam hall.
UPTET 2021 Result
The competent authority after conducting the Uttar Pradesh TET exam will declare the result in due course of time. It is expected that the result will be announced within one or two months later from the date of exam. The aspirants are required to access the official website for obtaining the result.
After visiting the website, enter your roll number and date of birth in the given field and download the result. Candidates’ result/score will be provided on the scorecard. Eligible candidates can participate in teaching recruitment on the basis of UP TET certificate.
