The Padma Shri Awards 2021 List: Padma Awards are conferred in three categories and these are one of the highest civilian awards of India. Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri are the categories in which these prestigious awards are conferred. People who have contributed in the field of Public Affairs, Science & Engineering, Literature & Education, Art, and Social Work are recognized through these awards.
This year total of 119 Padma awards is awarded to the winners by the Hon’ble President Shri Ram Nath Kovind. The Padma awardees consist of 7 Padma Vibhushan, 10 Padma Bhushan and 102 Padma Shri Awards. Among these awardees, 29 are women, 1 transgender and 16 posthumous awardees. There are three categories of Padma Awards as mentioned below:
- Padma Vibhushan- It is the highest civilian award in the country. Padma Vibhushan is given for the remarkable service.

- Padma Shri- It is the third category in the series of Padma Awards. These awards are also given to the people for their exceptional service to the nation.
