National Recruitment Agency CET Notification is likely to release in the first quarter of 2022. The Union Cabinet in its meeting held on 19th August 2020 approved the creation of the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) which will conduct entrance exams of various central government jobs. It is one of the most important and much-needed reforms introduced by the Central Government. The setting up of the National Recruitment Agency will bring transparency to the recruitment process. It will enable job-seeking youth to apply for a single exam for different posts in central government jobs.
There will be only one common eligibility test for various government recruitment and the score of this test will be valid for a period of three years. Primarily, there are three recruitment bodies under the new recruitment agency i.e. NRA namely the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), and Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). Later on, more exams will be brought under the new recruitment system.
The applicants need not apply for various posts, just appear in the NRA CET and qualify the same. However, it is important to mention here that the agency will conduct only preliminary exams only. Note: The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) will announce dates for Common Entrance Test to be conducted in near future. It is expected that the exam will be conducted in the year 2022.
As discussed above, the exam pattern and syllabus are yet to be decided. After the announcement of the exam, information about the NRA CET exam pattern and syllabus will be available. The exam will be held at three levels i.e. 10th, 12th, and graduation. Therefore, the syllabus will be prepared accordingly. Generally, the syllabus will consist of General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and English.
The competent authority at NRA will assess the written exam performance of the candidates and based on marks secured, a merit list will be prepared. Candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks in the exam. The difficulty level of the exam shall vary from post to post. The candidates must know one thing that the NRA will conduct the preliminary exam only. Thereafter, the respective board may take a further round of exams for final screening.
Basically, it depends on the selection process of the particular post. In some cases, after qualifying NRA CET, an interview will be held while in some cases there will be the main exam. Candidates must take a printout of the scorecard after the announcement of the result as it will be required later for the further recruitment process.
The score of the NRA CET exam will be valid for a period of 3 years. It means within three years, candidates need not appear in the preliminary exam. They can directly appear for the particular post and can appear in the main exam or interview. No attempt limit is fixed there hence, candidates can appear in the NRA CET exam at any number of times to improve the score.
