GUJCET eligibility criteria 2020: The candidates, who are going to appear in the upcoming GUJCET 2020 exam, must check eligibility criteria in detail.  GUJCET is a state level entrance test which is organized to process the admission in engineering and pharmacy courses in the State of Gujarat. GUJCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The aspirants are recommended to obtain the official information brochure and read the information regarding GUJCET eligibility criteria before submitting the application form. Apart from fulfilling the eligibility criteria, the candidate must qualify the GUJCET 2020 exam for admission in the engineering and pharmacy degree and diploma courses. Basic Eligibility Conditions

  • Nationality: The applicant must be an Indian Citizen. Foreign students cannot apply.
  • Domicile: Candidates should have a domicile certificate of Gujarat.

Eligibility for Engineering Course

  • Qualifying Exam: The applicant should have completed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board/institute.
  • Qualifying Marks: There should be at least 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the qualifying exam.
  • Subjects: Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Biology/ Biotechnology/Chemistry/Technical Vocational subjects at 12th standard.
  • Those who are appearing in the qualifying exam are eligible to apply for GUJCET.

 Eligibility for Pharmacy Course

The candidates can check eligibility conditions both Pharmacy Diploma and Degree course in the table below:

Pharmacy Degree Course

  • Qualifying Exam: 12th standard or its equivalent exam from a recognized board/institute.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have obtained a minimum 45% marks (40% for candidates of reserved category) in the qualifying exam.
  • Subjects: The candidate must have Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects along with Mathematics/Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subjects at 12th standard.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to appear in the GUJCET exam.

Pharmacy Diploma Course

  • Qualifying Exam: A 12th passed candidate from a recognized State board/institute will be eligible to apply.
  • Subjects: Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and additional subject among Mathematics/Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subjects in the 12th standard.
  • Those who are going to appear in the 12th standard exam, can also submit GUCET application form.

GUJCET Eligibility Criteria 2020: Highlights

  • The applicants should have completed the 10+2 exam from the recognized institute/board.
  • He/she should have Science streams with PCM or PCB group as per the requirement for engineering and pharmacy course.
  • Applicants’ scores in the qualifying should be at least 45%. However, it is relaxed for reserved category candidates and they should have scored the minimum 40% marks only.
  • The applicants should proceed to submit the GUJCET application form only after ensuring the eligibility for the exam.
