SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2020: Marking Scheme, Syllabus

SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2020: The Staff Selection Commission has announced the date of SSC Multi-Tasking Staff Recruitment 2020. The exam is scheduled to be held from 26th October to 13th November 2020. Registration link will be available from 2nd June 2020 to 15th July 2020. The SSC MTS exam consists of two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II. Paper-I will contain multiple choice questions while Paper II will have descriptive type questions. Candidates are recommended to go through detailed syllabus and examination pattern and accordingly prepare for the exam. SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2020

SSC MTS Paper I

  • The Paper I will consist objective type questions.
  • Total 100 questions will be there in the exam.
  • Each question will be of 1 mark.
  • There will be four sections in the Paper-I i.e. General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude and English.
  • Each section will contain 25 questions.
  • The duration of the exam will be 1.30 hours.
  • Negative marking is applicable in this exam and hence, 1/4th marks will be deducted for wrong attempt.

SSC MTS Paper II

  • Paper II will be a descriptive paper in nature. Candidates need to qualify the same.
  • The paper II will consist of one question on letter writing/essay writing in English or any other language as per the instructions.
  • The weightage of the Paper –II will be 50 Marks.
  • Duration of the exam will be 30 minutes (40 minutes for PH candidates).
  • Paper II is qualifying in nature which is a test of candidates’ writing skills. Shortlisted candidates of Paper-I will be eligible to appear in Paper II.
  • No negative marking applicable in this paper.

English

Letter Writing and Essay Writing. Candidates’ knowledge of English language such as Grammar, Vocabulary, sentence structuring etc. will be tested.

SSC MTS 2020 Exam Day Instructions

The candidates are recommended to go through following instructions which will be helpful during the exam:

  • The applicants must carry admit card to the exam centre for appearing in the exam.
  • Also carry one identity proof such as Aadhar Card, Voter Id card, Driving License and Pan Card etc.
  • Items like calculator, smart watch, paper, magazines, phone, Bluetooth devices and pen drive etc. are not permissible in the exam premises.
  • No member of the family, friends or relatives will be allowed to enter in the exam hall or premises.
  • Candidates should reach exam centre at least one hour before commencement of the exam.
  • After distribution of the question booklet, without wasting time check entire booklet carefully and if there is problem with the booklet, report the same to the invigilator.
  • Start solving question and keep answer sheet clean without any wrinkle.
  • Candidates can leave exam hall before completion of the exam.
