CEED Exam Pattern 2019: Aspirants must be aware of the CEED exam pattern in order to achieve good marks in the examination. CEED Exam Pattern 2019
As stated above, the exam will be held in two parts (Part-A and Part-B). Part-A will be a computer-based exam while Part-B is a Pen Paper Based exam. Candidates have to appear in both the papers on scheduled date and time. Everyone should prepare according to the prescribed syllabus and pattern of exam. Check the part-wise information below.
CEED 2019 Exam Pattern Part-A
- This paper will be held online being a computer-based screening test.
- CEED paper will contain objective type questions having four alternatives.
- The duration of the paper will be 1.00 hour.
- Language of paper will be English only.
- Total 50 questions will be asked in the paper.
- The question paper will have three section based on the number of question and syllabus of the paper.
- Section 1 will have 5 numerical answer type questions where each question will carry two marks. For the wrong attempt, 0.6 marks will be deducted as a penalty.
- Section 2 will contain 10 multiple selection question carrying two marks. No negative marking for these questions.
- The third part i.e. Section 3 will contain 35 multiple choice questions carrying 2 marks each. 0.6 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer.
- The Part-A will have the question from the following topics:
-Design thinking and problem solving
-Analytical and logical reasoning
-Language and creativity
-Visualization and spatial ability
-Environmental and social awareness
-Observation and design sensitivity.
Note: Candidates shortlisted on the basis of Part-A score, will qualify for the evaluation of the Part-B paper.
CEED Exam Pattern Part-B
- The Part-B paper will be a Pen Paper Based exam.
- Duration of this paper will be 2.00 hours.
- In this exam, candidate’s drawing skills, creativity, communication skills & analytical skills and problem-solving skill will be evaluated.
- Part-A is qualifying in nature. Only Part-B score will be considered for making CEED 2019 merit list.
Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) 2019 is an aptitude test conducted by IIT Bombay. Therefore, no specified book for preparation and guidance is available in the market. Candidate should practice previous year exam papers, drawing and visualization skills. Candidates can find some previous year papers on the official website of the CEED. After qualifying CEED, the candidate can take admission into the Master of Design Courses in IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IISc Bangalore and Ph. D. Programmes in Design in IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Hyderabad. Candidate should know that the CEED score card is valid for one year only.
