BHU PET Eligibility Criteria
All the students who are looking for pursuing PG degree course offered by Banaras Hindu University must appear in the BHU PET exam. Faculty of Arts
- The students should have completed BA/BA (Hons.) in 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university.
- Applicants must have obtained at least 50% aggregate in B.A. level examination excluding the subjects which are not included in the final degree mark sheet.
- The subject in which the candidate is seeking admission into must have been studied in all the 3 years during the graduation.
Faculty of Social Sciences
- The candidates should possess BA/BA(Hons.)/B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons.) in 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university.
- Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam excluding those subjects which is not included in the final degree mark sheet.
- The candidate must have the subject concerned during the graduation level in all the three years.
Faculty of Commerce
- The candidates looking for admission in PG course in commerce stream should have completed B.Com/B.Com.(Hons.) in 10 + 2 +3 pattern from a recognized university.
- Candidates should have obtained minimum 50% marks aggregate in the Graduation level.
- It is very important to have commerce as a subject during the graduation level for pursuing PG degree course in Commerce.
Institute of Sciences
- Candidates must possess B.Sc./B.Sc.(Hons.) degree in 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university.
- They must obtain at least 50% marks aggregate in graduation level.
- PG degree subject in which candidates are seeking admission must be one of the subjects during graduation level.
Note: The candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria for the concerned subject for appearing in BHU PET 2021 exam. If any candidates found guilty of misleading the authority by hiding facts related to eligibility then his/her candidature will be cancelled at any stage of the admission process and appropriate action will be taken.
BHU PET Application Form 2021
All the candidates who are fulfilling the eligibility criteria as mentioned above should keep following things in mind at the time of making BHU PET application form:
- BHU PET 2021 application form will be available online at the official website of the BHU.
- The application form can be submitted within the prescribed schedule.
- Candidates need to register online and have to fill the application form in respect of name, parents name, date of birth, qualification and correspondence address etc.
- They also need to upload scanned photograph and signature as specified at the appropriate place in the application form.
- Further, to complete the application process, they have to pay the requisite application fee whichever is applicable.

BHU PET Exam Pattern
The information regarding exam pattern is an essential part of the preparation. Every aspirant should have basic information about exam pattern before appearing in the entrance test. Check the following information in respect of BHU PET exam pattern:
- BHU PET exam is an offline entrance test.
- The question paper will consist of 150 questions.
- Questions will be based on General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Language Comprehension and General Mental Ability.
- The duration of the test will be of 2 hours.
- Each question will carry 3 marks and for every correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded.
- 1 mark will be deducted for the wrong attempt.
BHU PET Exam Instructions
Candidates are suggested to read all the instructions given in the official notification and BHU PET Information bulletin before proceeding for applying online. Here candidates can check some of the important points with regard to the exam:
- The invigilator will provide question booklet and answer sheet separately during the exam.
- There will be objective type questions in the exam where each question will have four choices and candidates have to attempt correct one.
- Candidates must bring admit card along with identity proof such as Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card etc. for appearing in the exam.
- Use Black/Blue ball point pen only for attempting the answers. Do not overwrite and try to keep clean the answer sheet.
- The competent authority will not allow anyone to leave exam hall before the end of the exam.
- Candidates should reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the exam.
- If there is any confusion regarding sitting arrangement, candidates may seek the help of the invigilator.
BHU PET 2021: Admit card
- The university will place BHU PET admit card 2021 on its official website prior to the examination.
- It is expected that the admit card will be available from the month of March 2021.

- BHU PET admit card will contain the information like name of the candidate, course name, venue of exam centre, test date, and exam instructions.

BHU PET 2021 Answer Key
Applicants can avail answer keys of paper on official portal after entrance test. The answer keys will be available after the exam within two weeks’ time. It will be released in two stages. First the competent authority will issue provisional answer keys and later on, final answer keys will be released. During the provisional answer list, one can approach the concerned authority in case of any discrepancy in the answer keys. Candidates can match their answers with the help of official answer keys which will be helpful in assessing the BHU PET performance.
BHU PET Result 2021

BHU PET Merit List 2021
The Banaras Hindu University will prepare the BHU PET 2021 merit list on the basis of candidates’ performance in the exam. The merit will contain the name of the candidate, roll number, score, rank, and category etc.

After the announcement of the BHU PET 2021 result, the Banaras Hindu University will invite eligible candidates for Counselling process. The shortlisted candidates must attend the counselling for getting admission in the desired course. Candidates should obtain allotment letter from the website and must report for counselling on scheduled date and time. The BHU PET Counselling will be held through online mode.
Candidates have to register online for participating in the counselling process. The university will publish separate notification for counselling. Candidates should keep ready all the original documents for the purpose of verification.
