Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) Ayurvedacharya is a graduate-level course in Ayurveda, which is being conducted throughout the country under IMCC Act, 1970. BAMS is a 5½ years (4½ year main course + 1-year internship programme) duration course running in various approved Ayurveda colleges in the country. The syllabus and curriculum of the course is uniform throughout the country. Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) under the Ministry of AYUSH is the regulatory body of Ayurveda education at the undergraduate/ postgraduate level as well as the practice of Ayurvedic medicine in India. BAMS Admission is an online process where candidates participate in the counselling process.

The selection of the candidates will be exercised only on the basis of candidates’ performance in the NEET Exam. The competent authority during the counselling process will assess the candidates’ NEET Score and as per the score, merit will be prepared. Accordingly, a provisional seat allotment letter will be generated for all the eligible candidates. It is important to mention here that the applicants have to follow each step of the admission process.
Students have to report to the allotted institute within the stipulated time to confirm the seat. The college authority will check the original documents of the candidates to ascertain his/her eligibility for the course. After verification, candidates have to deposit the admission fee to confirm the seat. If there is any discrepancy with the candidate’s documents, the college authority and counselling authority has all rights reserved to cancel the admission.
