NMMS Uttar Pradesh 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The students need to go through eligibility requirements before applying to UP NMMS 2021. After satisfying the eligibility norms, you can go ahead to submit the application form. The eligibility criteria are as below:

Education Qualification

• Those who are studying in class 8th in the current academic session in the recognized government or recognized school of the Uttar Pradesh, are eligible to apply.
• However, the applicants need to score at least 55% marks in the class VI exam (reserved category candidates have to obtain minimum 50% marks).

Annual Income

• Apart from the above criteria, the annual income of the family should not exceed Rs.1.50 lakh per annum from all sources. In this regard, an Income certificate issued by the competent authority will be required to submit to ascertain the eligibility.

NMMS Uttar Pradesh 2021 Application Form

• Visit the official website and click on the registration link.

Application Fee

The payment of the application fee is a mandatory requirement and all the applicants must pay the fee to complete the form. The fee details are as below:

• Candidates belonging to the general category are required to pay Rs.100/- as a registration fee.
• However, reserved category candidates need to pay Rs.50/- only.
• Payment of the fee can be done through SBI Challan.
• Application forms without fees will be treated as incomplete.

UP NMMS 2021 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of the UP NMMS exam includes Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT). The details are as below:

• Mental Ability Test (MAT): In this section, total 90 questions will be asked. All the questions will be multiple choices in nature. Questions will be based on verbal and non-verbal meta-cognitive abilities like reasoning and critical thinking. Topics like the analogy, hidden figure, classification, pattern perception and numerical series etc. will be covered.
• Scholastic Ability Test (SAT): This part will be of 90 marks where the question will be based on Science, Social Science and Mathematics of class 7th and 8th standard.
• It is important to mention here that the students need to qualify for both the tests with at least 40% marks. However, reserved category candidates are required to score minimum 32% marks.

NMMS UP 2021 Syllabus

The candidates should be aware of the prescribed syllabus for the preparation of the exam. Candidates are required to prepare their subjects of 7th and class 8th to qualify the exam. As stated above, all the questions will be objective type in nature. Candidates need to mark the correct answers among the given choices.

NMMS Uttar Pradesh 2021 Admit Card

NMMS UP 2021 Admit card will be released probably in the month of October 2021. The admit card will be released by the Directorate of Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Students need to obtain admit card well in advance within the prescribed time limit.

The admit card will contain the candidate’s name, father name, postal address, exam date, exam venue and other instructions about the exam. Keep admit card safely and do not forget to carry the same on the day of the exam. Failing to show a valid admit card in the exam centre may lead to the rejection of permission to appear in the exam.

NMMS Uttar Pradesh 2021 Result

The Directorate of Education, Uttar Pradesh will declare the NMMS Uttar Pradesh 2021 result. After successful completion of the exam, competent authority will release answer keys of the exam. Candidates can check the official website to know the answer keys and result. It is expected that the result will be declared within one or two months from the date of the exam.

The applicants have to enter roll number and date of birth to download the result. After downloading the result, take at least two printouts of the same for future reference. Any issue regarding the answer keys and result will be addressed by the competent authority. Candidates should follow the direction as issued by the competent authority.

Selection Process

• First of all, the applicants should know that every state/UT will conduct its separate entrance test for awarding NMMS (National-cum-Merit Scholarship). Generally, there are two tests i.e. Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
• Students having minimum 55% marks or equivalent grades in the qualifying exam i.e. class 7th can appear in the NMMS UP exam. There is 5% relaxation for reserved category candidates. Remember, applicants must be a regular student in Government, government-aided and other schools.
• The score of both MAT and SAT should be at least 40% to qualify the exam. However, reserved category students are required to score minimum 32% marks only.
• Award of scholarship to the eligible candidates is subject to verification of documents. Hence, keep ready all the documents including academic qualification and income certificate.
