Eligibility Criteria for NIOS Admission 2022

Secondary Level:

NIOS Admission Age Limit
- Age of the candidates should be at least 14 years for admission in the secondary level course.
- The students should have attained the age of 15 years for admission in the senior secondary course.

NIOS Admission 2022: About Four Streams
The students should be aware of the four streams of the NIOS admission. Here are the details as below:
Stream I-A fresher candidate who is appearing in 10th or 12th standard for the first time can apply for Block I. The examination of these candidates will be held in April 2022. Candidates of Block II can appear in the exam October 2022 exam.
Stream II-It is for those students who had appeared in secondary/senior secondary examination but could not qualify or who were eligible but could not appear in the exams. Such candidates can apply under this Stream.
Stream III- The students who could not qualify or failed in the class 10th examination or wish to apply for NIOS admission for improvement of the score can apply any time throughout the year.
Stream IV– Students failed in 12th standard or want to appear again to improve the performance can apply under Stream IV for which applications are invited throughout the year.
