Aspirants must know that the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is the regulatory authority which invites applications for entrance test for admission in various Under-graduate/Post-graduate courses in Fashion Technology. Interested candidates those who want to take admission in B.Des., M.Des., B.F.Tech. and MFM courses can apply for this exam. It is a university level entrance test through which aspirants can take admission in desired fashion technology courses. NIFT Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should meet the requisite eligibility norms for making online application form. Here candidates can check UG/PG eligibility criteria details below:

Eligibility for UG courses

Name of Course	Eligibility Criteria
B.Des.(Bachelor of Design)	The applicant must have completed 12th standard or equivalent exam from a recognized institute/board. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply. Candidates passed form National Open School with five subjects can also apply. Those who have 3 or 4 years diploma can apply. The upper age limit should not exceed 23 years as on 1st October 2022. Reserved category candidates are eligible for five years of relaxation subject to the submission of a valid category certificate.
B.F.Tech. (Bachelor of Fashion Technology)	The applicants must have completed 12th standard or any equivalent exam from a recognized board/institute PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) subjects. Candidates who have 3 years diploma in engineering can also apply. The upper age limit of the candidates is 23 years as on 1st October 2022. Reserved category candidates can seek five years relaxation.

Eligibility for PG courses

M.Des. (Master of Design)/ MFM(Master of Fashion Management)	The applicants should have completed B. Des. degree from a recognized institute/ board. Those who have completed 3 years diploma in UG design from NID/NIFT can also apply. The one who is appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply. There is no age limit prescribed for PG course.
M.F. Tech. (Master of Fashion Technology)	The applicants who possess B.E./B.Tech. degree from a recognized University/Institute are eligible to apply. Those who are appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply.

NIFT Application Form 2022

The NIFT 2022 application form is likely to be released in the month of December 2021. Candidates are recommended to obtain official information bulletin and go through it completely. Candidates should keep following things in mind while submitting NIFT application form:

The application form for NIFT 2022 exam can be submitted through online mode at the official website.
Visit the official website and submit an application form as per the instructions are given in the brochure.
Provide all the information including personal details, academic qualification, and correspondence address along with e-mail ID/mobile number in the application form.
Candidates can also modify the application form if any mistake happens during submission of the form.
Candidates are recommended to apply online before the last date to avoid last hour rush.
Everyone must pay the requisite application fee to complete the application form.
Submit the application form at the end after checking all the particulars filled in the form.
Do not forget to take the printout of the application form.

Application Fee

The candidates of General/OBC category have to pay Rs.1500/- as application fee.
While reserved category candidates need to pay Rs.750/- only.
The applicants can application fee through online mode using credit/debit card and net banking.
The payment can also be done demand draft which should be drawn in favour of “NIFT HO” payable at New Delhi.

NIFT Exam Pattern

The applicants must be aware of the examination pattern for qualifying the exam. There will be two papers in the NIFT exam including CAT (Creative Aptitude Test) and GAP (General Aptitude Test). Candidates will also go through Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The question paper will be in English language only. Check NIFT exam pattern in details below:

Exam Pattern For B.Des. and M.Des. Courses

Exam Mode	Paper will be held offline it means via Pen and Paper mode.
Exam Duration	The question paper will be of 2.00 hours duration.
Number of Questions	Total 100 questions for B.Des. and 120 question for M. Des. will be asked in the paper.
Medium	English only.
Marking scheme	1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer.
Negative marking	Not applicable.

NIFT 2022 Admit Card

The NIFT admit card will be available online at the official website which can be downloaded easily. Candidates have to provide registration number and date of birth in the given fields at the portal to download admit card.

It is expected that the admit card will be able in the month of January 2022. NIFT Hall ticket will not be sent to anyone through the post. The admit card will contain crucial information including the candidate’s name, father name, date & time of the exam, exam venue with full address and important instructions for exam day. The applicants should not forget to carry admit card on the day of exam for getting the entry in the exam hall/centre.

NIFT Result 2022

The candidates can check their result on the official website of the exam conducting authority i.e. NIFT.
The competent authority will release result most probably in the month of February 2022.
Candidates can download the result from the website by following the easy instructions.
After the declaration of result, there will be group discussion, interview, and situational test before final admission.

NIFT Admission Procedure

The candidates who are eligible as per the merit list of written exam will be invited to attend counselling.

Candidates have to go through the personal interview, group discussion, and situational test.

It is expected that the counselling process will start in the month of April or May 2022. Candidates are recommended to carry all original documents and one set of photocopies during admission.

The admission against any vacant seat will be based on various factors such as the number of applicants, seat availability in a course, written exam performance of the applicants etc.
