NID Entrance Exam 2022 registration process may start from the month of January 2022. The National Institute of Design (NID) conducts entrance test for providing admissions in its undergraduate and postgraduate design programmes. The entrance test is generally known as Design Aptitude Test (DAT) through which candidates can get admission in four years B.Des. & M.Des. programmes. Candidates must qualify the entrance test for admission to these courses. The Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) is also running by NID’s Vijayawada and Kurukshetra campus. The candidates have to application fee to the complete the application process. Fee can be paid in both online as well as offline mode. The application fee will not be refunded in any case. Candidates can check fee structure in the table below:

The aspirants must prepare for NID Exam 2022 as per the prescribed syllabus. In order to qualify the entrance test, candidates should have basic information of NID 2022 exam pattern. Check some of the basic information on exam pattern as below:

The NID has not specified the syllabus for the NID entrance test. However, there are some topics which are relevant with respect to the NID 2022 exam. The topics are Innovation in Design, Elements & Principal of Design, Visual Logic, Creative Thinking & Writing, Colour Terminology, Optical Illusion, Design Theory, Usage of Color in Composition, 3D Visualization etc.
The applicants can obtain the admit card through online mode only. The competent authority will not send hard copy of the admit card to any individual. NID admit card 2022 for B.Des./GDPD is likely to release in the last week of March 2022 and for M.Des in the last week of March 2022.
The NID answer keys 2022 will be available online on the official website after the conduct of exam. Generally, it will be declared after the entrance test within one or two weeks. Candidates can check answer keys through online mode.
After downloading the answer keys, candidates can make a rough idea of the score to be secured in the test. If any candidate found any discrepancy in the answer keys, it can be challenged through proper manner.
The NID 2022 result will be announced separately for both B.Des./GDPD and M.Des. programmes. Candidates can check the result and score via online mode. The authority will not send scorecard to any candidate through the post.
Based on candidates’ score, a rank list will be prepared for each course. The competent authority will consider candidates’ score, category and course opted etc. while preparing the merit list.
Meritorious candidates have to submit their consent to the Institute for admission. The competent authority will grant the admission on the basis of candidates merit and availability of seats.
Candidates also need to upload the documents on the website of Institute for verification of documents. It is recommended that candidates must upload the documents before the last date of submission of documents.
