Maharashtra TET 2020: Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Admit Card Released

Maharashtra TET 2020 admit card has been released. The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test 2020 (Maharashtra TET 2020) exam will be organized by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination, Pune. The aspiring candidates should know that two papers will be conducted in the Maharashtra TET exam. One paper is for the primary level (1st to 5th class teachers) and another one is for upper primary level (6th to 8th class teacher. An aspirant can apply for any one or both the papers depending upon the eligibility. Qualifying the TET exam is mandatory for a candidate to be selected for the post of 1st to 8th class teacher in the state of Maharashtra. The application form for the exam will available in online mode only. Candidates are recommended to go through eligibility conditions before submitting the application form. Maha TET 2020 Notification: Released

  • The competent authority i.e. Maharashtra State Council of Examination has announced the Maha TET 2020 exam date after a gap of two years.
  • Maharashtra TET 2020 is scheduled to be held on 19th January 2020.

Maharashtra TET Eligibility Criteria

The interested candidates can check crucial information regarding Maha TET 2020 Eligibility Criteria hereinbelow. Candidates are recommended to through the same and if you meeting the prescribed conditions then go ahead for an online application form. Check the information carefully:

 For Primary Level (Class 1st to 5th)

  • Candidates must pass the 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in elementary education/ 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education/ 2-year diploma in education (Special Education) or
  • Applicants must clear the 10+2 or equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% marks and a 2-year diploma in elementary education (As per the regulation of NCTE) or
  • Candidates having a bachelor’s degree along with a 2-year diploma in elementary education can also apply.

For Upper Primary Level (Class 6th to 8th)

  • Aspirants who clear the 10+2 exam with at least 50% marks and having a 4 years B.El. Ed/ B.A. Ed/ B.Sc. Ed degree are eligible.
  • Graduate candidates having minimum 50% marks with 1 year B.Ed or B.Ed (Special Education) can also apply.
  • Applicants having a Bachelors’s degree with 45% marks and 1 year B.Ed as per the regulation of NCTE are also eligible.

Maharashtra TET Application Form 2020

  • The council has released an application form for Maharashtra TET 2020 on its official website i.e.
  • To start the application process, the aspirants need to register themselves.
  • After registration, the candidates will get their login credentials.
  • Then, the applicants may sign in and fill all the required details including personal information, academic qualification and correspondence address etc. in the application form.
  • Candidate’s photograph and signature are also needed to be uploaded in the application form.
  • In order to complete the application form submission, the aspirants need to pay the necessary application fee.
  • After completing all the steps, candidates should take the printout of the filled-in application form.

Application Fee

The payment of registration fee or application fee is a mandatory requirement, which everyone must pay. The payment can be done through online mode such as net banking, debit card or credit card. After making payment, candidates should take receipt of the payment done for future reference.

Maha TET 2020 Admit Card

  • Important information like date, timing, venue of the exam will available on the admit card.
  • All the candidates need to carry the Admit Card at the examination Hall. Otherwise, the authorities will not allow them to appear in the exam.

Maharashtra TET Result

  • The result will be announced in online mode through the official website of the Maharashtra State Examination Council.
  • For checking the result, an applicant needs to provide his/ her roll number along with the date of birth.
  • Aspirants who will score more than the qualifying marks will get the Maharashtra TET certificate.
  • The validity of the TET qualification certificate is 7 years.

Selection Process

  • The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of candidates’ written exam performance.
  • Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in the exam for obtaining the TET certificate.
  • The competent authority will issue an eligibility certificate to those who qualify the exam.
  • After obtaining the TET certificate, candidates can apply for different teaching jobs in the state.
