KTET Eligibility Criteria
There are four categories for which applicants need to fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions for appearing in the Kerala TET 2022 exam. The eligibility criteria details are as below:
Eligibility for Category I (Lower Primary Classes)
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam passed with minimum 45% marks and two years certificate of Trained Teachers conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.
OR
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or equivalent with minimum 45% marks and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the prescribed
OR
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and four years of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd).
OR
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or equivalent with minimum 50% marks and two years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Eligibility for Category II (Upper Primary Classes)
- Those who have completed BA/B.Sc./B.Com. and having 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) are eligible to apply.
OR
- Candidates having BA/B.Sc./B.Com. degree with minimum 45% marks along with 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with NCTE regulations, will be eligible.
OR
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam passed with minimum 50% marks and having 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
OR
- One who has completed Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks along with 4 years BA/B.Sc.Ed or BA Ed or B.Sc.Ed. Programme.
KTET Eligibility for Category III (High School Classes)
- BA/B.Sc./B.Com. with minimum 45% marks along with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized university are required for appearing in the KTET exam.
- In the case of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, those who have M.Sc. Ed. Degree in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks from the recognized institute will be eligible.
- BA or equivalent with a minimum 45% marks and LTTC passed candidates are eligible to apply.
Eligibility for Category IV
The aspirants who possess the requisite qualification for language teacher of Hindi, Sanskrit, Arabic & Urdu (up to Upper Primary level), Specialist teachers & Physical Education teachers as per the rules are eligible to apply.
Note: Reserved category candidates can seek a relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks as per the rule. Similarly, OBC candidates are also eligible for a relaxation of 3% in qualifying marks.
Kerala TET 2022 Application Form
The candidates should know that they can submit KTET 2022 application form through online mode. The application form has been released online on the official website of KTET Pareeksha Bhawan. The registration dates for KTET 2022 are 9th Feb to 16th Feb 2022.
Go to the registration link and fill in personal details, academic qualifications and addresses etc. Before submitting the application form, you should read the notification in detail.
Candidates also need to upload the scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format. Pay the requisite fee and submit the application form. General category candidates need to pay Rs.500/- as an application fee. SC/ST and disabled candidates need to pay Rs.250/- only.
Candidates must take a printout of the application form. After submitting the application form as per the guidelines, take the final printout by 17th February 2022. Now send the receipt of the application form to the concerned office.

KTET 2022 Admit Card
The competent authority will release admit card on the official website. The applicants need to visit the official website for downloading the admit card.
Enter your registration number and date of birth for downloading the admit card. Take a printout of the admit card which will be required to get entry into the examination hall.
The admit card will contain information regarding the candidate’s name, father name, address, test date and venue of the exam etc.
All the applicants should check the particulars of the admit card carefully and if there is any discrepancy, report the same to the competent authority within the specified time limit.
Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan KTET 2022
- The Kerala TET 2022 result will be declared on the official website through online mode.
- Candidates can download the result from the website easily.
- Enter your registration number and date of birth for downloading the result.
- Qualified candidates will be invited to attend a personal interview round.
- Candidates should take a printout of the result from the website.
Kerala TET Selection Process
The selection process for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K TET) will consist of the following steps:
- First of all, the competent authority will invite the application form for the Kerala TET exam.
- After that, all the application forms will be scrutinized and eligible candidates will be issued admit cards for appearing in the exam.
- Candidates need to appear in the entrance test and have to qualify for the exam in order to pass the exam.
- The competent authority will prepare a merit list on the basis of candidates’ performance in the exam.
- Eligible candidates will be issued a TET Qualified Certificate subject to verification of the original documents.
- After obtaining the TET Certificate, candidates will be eligible to apply for various teaching posts in the State of Kerala.
