Know CTET Exam Pattern

The candidates must be conversant with the prescribed examination pattern. Information about the examination pattern will be helpful in the preparation of the exam. Check the following information with regard to the CTET examination pattern:

  • The CTET exam will consist of two papers Paper-I & Paper-II.
  • Those who intend to be a teacher at the Primary level (Class I to V), can appear in Paper-I.
  • Paper-II will be for those who want to become the teacher for classes VI to VIII.
  • However, if candidates want to become a teacher of both class I to V and Class VI to VIII, he/she has to appear in both papers.
  • Both papers will consist of 150 questions each.
  • All the questions will be multiple choices in nature where four alternatives will be provided and candidates have to mark the correct one.
  • Each question will carry one mark. There is no provision for negative marking.
  • The duration of both Papers will be 2.30 hours.
