CTET 2021 December Notification: Released

CTET Eligibility Criteria

The applicant should ensure their eligibility for the upcoming CTET exam before applying online. Check the following information with regard to CTET eligibility criteria:

Eligibility for Primary Level (Class I to V)

  • The applicants should have completed senior secondary (12th) or equivalent exam securing minimum 50% marks and must have passed or appeared in the last semester of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • Those who have passed senior secondary or equivalent exam securing minimum 45% marks aggregate and also have passed or appearing in last semester of two-year Diploma Course in Elementary Education recognized under NCTE Regulations, 2002.

OR

  • Candidates who have completed senior secondary education or equivalent exam obtaining minimum 50% marks and passed or pursuing last semester of four years Bachelor of Elementary Education.

OR

  • Candidates must have passed senior secondary or its equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks and qualified or appearing in last semester of two years Diploma Programme in Education (Special Education).

OR

  • A Graduate in relevant course/discipline and completed or appearing in the final semester of the two years diploma programme in Elementary Education.

Eligibility for Elementary Level (Class VI to VIII)

  • Applicants should have completed a bachelor’s degree and passed or appearing in the final semester of 2 years’ Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • Candidates having 50% marks in the graduation and also passed or appearing in one year course of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).

OR

  • A graduate with a minimum 45% marks and completed or appearing in one year course of B.Ed. recognized under NCTE Rules and Regulations.

OR

  • Candidates must have passed senior secondary or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks and also completed or appearing in the final semester of four years Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

OR

  • Those who have completed senior secondary or equivalent exam securing minimum 50% marks and also completed or appearing in the final semester of four-year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A./B.Sc.Ed. programme

OR

  • Any Graduate with minimum 50% marks and also completed or appearing in one year B.Ed. programme (Special Education).

CTET 2021 Application Form: How to apply?

Eligible candidates can submit CTET 2021 online application form at the official website of the CBSE. The CBSE has published the notification on the official website of the CTET stating the entire examination schedule and process. Every candidate must check the eligibility criteria before submitting an application form. Candidates can apply only within the stipulated time frame i.e. 20th September 2021 to 19th October 2021. The last date for payment of the application fee is 21st October 2021.

Candidates have to provide personal details, educational qualification, address for correspondence including email ID and mobile number, etc. in the online application form. Also, upload scanned images of the photograph and signature in the prescribed format and specifications. The application fee is also required to be paid for the completion of the registration process. Take the printout of the application form at the end and keep it safe for future reference.

Application Fee

  • The registration fee for CTET Paper I or Paper II will be Rs.700 and Rs.1200/- for both papers in the case of General/OBC candidates.
  • Similarly, the application fee for SC/SC/PwD candidates will be Rs.350/- for Paper-I or Paper-II and Rs.600 for both papers.
  • The applicant can pay the application fee through online mode using net banking, debit/credit card, and e-challan.
  • Candidates should know that the application fee will not be refunded in any case.

CTET Exam Pattern

The applicants must start preparation well in advance as per the prescribed exam pattern. Candidates can check relevant information regarding the CTET exam pattern below:

  • The CTET exam will consist of two papers for both the primary and elementary stages.
  • Questions in both papers will be multiple choices in nature.
  • The duration of the exam will be 2.30 hours.
  • There will total 150 questions in each paper.
  • Each question will carry one mark.

CTET 2021 Admit Card

The CBSE will release the admit card for CTET 2021 exam on its official website at least two weeks before the exam. Candidates can obtain the admit card from the website. You need to enter the registration number and date of birth to download the CTET admit card.

The CTET admit card will consist of crucial information like the candidate’s name, roll number, date of exam, venue of the test and exam day instructions, etc. Take a printout of the admit card and keep it safe. On the exam day, must carry admit card along with identity proof for verification purposes.

CTET 2021 Answer Keys

CTET 2021 answer keys will be available on the official website. The CBSE will publish the CTET answer key in due course of time after conducting the CTET exam. The candidates can download answer keys from the website easily. Candidates can make a rough judgment of their result with the help of answer keys. It is recommended that if any candidate finds a discrepancy in the answer keys then he/she should report the same to the competent authority within the specified time limit.

CTET Result 2021

The CTET result will be declared online on the official website. The CBSE will publish the result online at the official website from where candidates can download it easily. It is expected that the CTET 2021 result will be announced on 15th February 2022.  Eligible candidates as per the CTET result will be called for attending an interview on the scheduled date and time. The result will be prepared on the basis of candidates’ written exam performance. One must obtain minimum qualifying marks in the CTET exam in order to qualify the test.

CTET Eligibility Certificate

The competent authority will issue a CTET eligibility certificate to those candidates who will qualify the CTET 2021 exam. Aspirants have to score more than 60% marks in the CTET exam for getting the CTET eligibility certificate. It will be sent to the candidates through Speed Post while CTET Mark Sheet will be issued via Ordinary Post. After obtaining the certificate, candidates should keep it safely for future purposes.
