AKTU/UPSEE Eligibility Criteria 2019: Age Limit, Qualification

UPSEE Eligibility Criteria 2019: Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh has prescribed eligibility requirements for each undergraduate and postgraduate course. The university is also known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University. The University conducts the State level entrance test namely UPSEE or UPTU for providing admission in different UG/PG programmmes.  The UPSEE score is considered by various institutes/colleges of the Uttar Pradesh State. UPSEE Eligibility Criteria 2019

The aspirants have to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria to apply for the AKTU/UPSEE 2019 examination. Check eligibility criteria details mentioned below:

General Eligibility Conditions

  • Nationality: An Indian citizen can apply. NRI/FN/PIO candidates can also apply for this exam.
  • Age Limit: No age limit prescribed for this exam.
  • Appearing: Those who are appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

Domicile Eligibility:

  • Candidates who possess the requisite qualification and whose parents have domicile of Uttar Pradesh can apply.
  • Those who qualify the exam from other State, they have to produce domicile certificate of parents (Father or Mother only).
  • The candidates, who possess the requisite qualification and have passed the qualifying examination from outside Uttar Pradesh & their parents (both Father & Mother) do not have the domicile of UP can also apply. But in this case, they are eligible to get admission into 10% seats only in Architecture/ Technology courses in private institutions affiliated to AKTU.

Qualification Criteria:

Eligibility Criteria for 1st year of Engineering/ Architecture/Pharmacy/Hotel Management/Fine Arts/Design Courses:

For B.Tech Course:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have qualified 12th standard or equivalent exam from any recognized institute/board.
  • Subjects: Candidates should have Physics & Mathematics as mandatory subjects & any one of the following subjects among Bio-Technology/Biology/Chemistry/Technical Vocational subject in the qualifying exam.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: Obtain minimum 45% (for general candidate) and 40 % (for SC/ST candidate) in the qualifying exam.

For B.Tech (Bio-Technology) Course:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have completed 12th standard or equivalent exam from UP Board from any recognized board/institute.
  • Subjects: Physics & Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects & any one of the subjects among Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Technical Vocational subject should be there in the qualifying exam.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must pass the qualifying exam with at least 45% (for general candidate) and 40 % (for SC/ST candidate).
  • The one who is eligible for admission in B.Tech. Courses will also be eligible for B.Tech.(Biotechnology).

For B.Arch Course:

  • Qualifying Exam: 12th standard or equivalent exam from any recognized board/institute.
  • Subjects: Candidates should have Physics & Mathematics as mandatory subjects & any one of the subjects among Biology/Chemistry/Computer Science/ Drawing/Engineering/ Technical Vocational subject.
  • Qualifying Marks: Must score minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam.

For B.Pharm Course:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have completed 12th class exam or equivalent exam from any recognized board/institute.
  • Subjects: Physics & Chemistry as the compulsory subjects & any one of the following subjects i.e. Biology/Bio-Technology/Mathematics/Technical Vocational subject should be there in the qualifying exam.
  • Qualifying Marks: The applicant should have scored minimum 45% (for general candidate) and 40 % (for SC/ST candidate) in the qualifying exam.

For B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering):

  • Qualifying Exam: The applicant must have passed 12th or its equivalent exam from any recognized institute/board with agriculture disciplines.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must qualify the above exam with at least 45% (for general candidate) and 40 % (for SC/ST candidate).
  • Those who are eligible for admission in B.Tech. Courses are also eligible for B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering).

For BHMCT/ BFA/BFAD Courses:

  • Qualifying Exam: The applicants should have passed 12th class exam or equivalent exam from UP Board or any recognized board with any discipline.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score minimum 45% marks in case of general category and 40% marks in case of SC/ST category.

UPSEE Eligibility for 1st Year Management/Computer Application Courses:

For MBA Course:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should possess a bachelor degree of three years duration or its equivalent degree from any recognized university.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates should have scored minimum 50% for general category and 45% for SC/ST category.

For MCA Course:

  • Qualifying Exam: Students must have completed a three years bachelor degree or equivalent degree from any recognized Indian university.
  • Subjects: Candidates should have mathematics subject at 10+2 level or graduation level.
  • Qualifying Marks: One must score minimum 50% marks for general and 45% for SC/ST candidates.

UPSEE Eligibility for Lateral Entry in B.Tech/ B.Pharm/ MCA:

For B.Tech (LE) Course:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should be a diploma holders or having B.Sc. degree with mathematics subject at 12th level.
  • Minimum Marks: One must score at least 45% marks (for general) and 40% (for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying exam.

For B.Pharm (LE) Course:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have completed Diploma in Pharmacy of two or three years duration.
  • Minimum Marks: One must have secured 45% marks in case of general category and 40% for reserved category.

For MCA (LE) Course:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates who possess a bachelor degree of minimum three years in BCA/ B.Sc (IT/Computer Application) will be eligible.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates should obtain at 50% marks aggregate (for general candidates) and 45% marks (for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidate should have mathematics as one of the subjects at 12th or graduation level.

Note: There is no Lateral entry in B.Arch./BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MBA courses.

AKTU Eligibility for Admission to NRI Quota (in First Year):

  • Candidates must have qualified 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects from a recognized institution situated outside the country.
  • Those who have passed High School Certificate Education (GCE) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects from London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka will be eligible.
  • Those who have appeared in SAT II examination with Mathematics level II C, Physics and Chemistry will be eligible.
  • Candidates are required to submit NRI certificate obtained from Indian Diplomatic Mission/High Commission with their stamp at the time of counselling.
  • Vacant seats in NRI quota, shall be filled by daughter/son/real sister/real brother of NRIs, candidates must have completed 12th standard or equivalent exam with PCM subjects without grace marks and the students should secure at least 50% marks (for general) and 45% marks for SC/ST category.

Eligibility for Admission to FN, PIO, CIWGC (in first year):

  • The applicants must have qualified the qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects, which is considered equivalent to 10+2 by AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
  • The candidates should possess a valid SAT-II score with Mathematics level II C, Physics and Chemistry.
  • Candidates need to submit the copy of passport or equivalent document in support of their nationality.

UPSEE Eligibility for First Year in Private Institution Under Management Quota (for NRI Candidates)/ Vacant Seats after Counselling:

  • For admission in first year of B.Tech/B.Pharm, the applicant should have completed 12th class exam or equivalent exam with PCM subjects. The students must score at least 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for SC/ST category.
  • For admission in BHMCT/BFA/BFAD/Integrated MBA (first year), the students should have qualified 12th class exam or equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks in case of general candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
  • For MBA programme, the candidates must hold a 3 years bachelor degree from any recognized university. The students should have scored minimum 50% marks for general and 45% marks for SC/ST category.
  • For MCA, aspirants should possess a bachelor degree of three years duration from any recognized university and students must obtain at least 50% marks for general and 45% marks for SC/ST category with mathematics at 12th level.

Eligibility for Direct Admission in Private Institutions under Vacant Seats after Counselling:

  • Candidates must have completed the qualifying examination securing at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) without any grace marks.
  • Vacant seats in B.Tech./B.Pharm./MCA programme after the counselling will be filled within 15 days of the last date of counselling.
