AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria 2019-Age Limit, Qualification

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi conducts entrance test for selecting eligible students who are willing to pursue PG courses offered by AIIMS. Candidates who are meeting the eligibility requirements for MD (Doctor of Medicine)/MS (Master of Surgery) courses, can appear in AIIMS PG entrance exam. The AIIMS PG application form for January session 2019 is available now. Those who will submit application form without having requisite eligibility, their application form may not be accepted or candidature may be cancelled at any time later. AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria 2019

The aspirants can verify their eligibility to appear in AIIMS PG 2019 exam as per the following criteria:

  • Candidate must hold a MBBS degree from a University/Institute recognised by Medical Council of India for MD/MS programme.
  • Those who are seeking admission in MDS programme should have BDS degree from a university/institute recognised by Dental Council of India.
  • Applicants must have completed or expected to complete their one year of rotating internship on or before 31st January 2019 for January session and 30th July 2019 for July session.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in case of General and OBC category while SC/ST candidates need to obtain minimum 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam.

Apart from above, candidates have to qualify the entrance test for taking admission. Eligible for appearing in the entrance test does not mean that candidates is eligible for admission. In this regard, the competent authority will take the final decision after analyzing all facts such as the qualifying exam, written exam performance, documents verification and other criteria.

Important Highlights   

  • Candidates have to produce their internship certificate before the last date of admission otherwise they will not be considered.
  • Applicants have to achieve minimum qualifying marks in the written entrance test for further admission process.
  • We recommend applicants, do not try to hide any facts in respect of eligibility criteria because if found guilty later, your candidature will be cancelled even after qualifying written test or admission.
  • Candidates need to be careful while submitting the application form, incomplete application is liable to be rejected.
