AFCAT Eligibility Criteria 2022: The Indian Air Force is one of the best career options in India. One who is dreaming to fly high in the sky can choose Indian Air Force as a career. There is a vast opportunity for growth in this field. Candidate should fulfil some of the eligibility criteria to become the member of Air Force. The Indian Air Force conducts Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) twice (in February and August) in a year to select eligible and enthusiastic candidates in their squad. There are three branches in the Air Force, which are as under:
-Flying Branch
-Technical Branch
-Ground Duty Branch
Candidates can choose one of the branches as a career as per their eligibility and interest. Each branch has some criteria, which needs to be fulfilled. Update: AFCAT 2022 notification has been released. The registration proces for AFCAT 2022 exam has been started online from 1st December 2021. Candidates can submit their applicatioin till last date of the application form i.e. 30th December 2021. AFCAT I 2022 exam will be held in the month of Febarury 2022.

Note: In Ground Duty Branches, there are several branches viz. Administration Branch, Accounts Branch, Logistic Branch, Education Branch and Meteorology Branch and the discipline of educational qualification may vary branch to branch. Aeronautical Engineering Electronics | Candidate should have obtained 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and have completed following educational qualification: Minimum four year Graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in engineering/technology OR Passed section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institutions of Engineers (India) OR from Aeronautical Society of India OR Candidate securing 60% marks in the Graduate membership exam of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering by actual studies in any one of the Electronic/Engineering stream. |
Aeronautical Engineering Mechanical | Candidate must have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics obtaining at least 60% marks and should have gone through one of the following for qualifying to AFCAT: Minimum four year graduation degree/integrated post-graduate qualification in Engineering/Technology from any recognized university OR Passed section A and B exam of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) OR Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies with at least 60% marks or equivalent in the following streams:-

Note: Apart from the eligibility criteria mentioned above, the candidate should be physically healthy and mentally sound. He/she must fulfil the physical and medical standards prescribed by the Air Force to meet the eligibility requirements.
