The West Bengal State Council For Vocational Training will release the official notification for the West Bengal ITI 2022 admission process. The crucial dates with regard to the West Bengal ITI admission 2022 will be updated in the table below:

West Bengal ITI Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should meet eligibility conditions in order to appear in the common entrance test on the scheduled date and time. Everyone should ensure their eligibility before submitting an application form. The council has prescribed minimum basic eligibility requirements to appear in the test. There are two groups i.e. Group E and Group M based on courses/trades. Aspirants must go through the group-wise eligibility criteria to ensure one’s eligibility. Check the information below:

Age Criteria

  • The candidate should attain a minimum of 14 years of age as of 1st August 2022. Hence, He/she should be born before 01.08.2007.
  • No upper age limit is prescribed.

Eligibility for Group “M” Courses/Trades

  • HSC (10th class) or equivalent exam passed from a recognized Board/Institute from any school in the West Bengal State.
  • Candidates should have passed Mathematics and Physical Science as the mandatory subject for admission in the Engineering Group of Courses/Trades.
  • Those who are appearing in the 10th class exam can also apply for “M” Group Trades subject to providing an HSC pass mark sheet/certificate at the time of admission.

Eligibility for Group “E” Courses/Trades

  • The candidate should have passed class VIII (8th) from any school within the West Bengal State from a recognized Board/Institute.

West Bengal ITI Application Form 2022: How to Apply

The candidates willing to pursue ITI courses in different trades/courses in various Government/Private institutes should apply within the specified time limit. The WBSCVT invites application forms in the prescribed form from the applicants. Candidates should purchase an admission brochure containing the OMR application form from the authorized Govt. ITIs/ITCs/Govt. Sponsored IITs/it is under PPP. However, the candidate can also fill out the application form online on the official website.

In the OMR application form, the candidate should fill the application form properly according to the guidelines specified in the brochure. Submit duly filled in the application form at any form selling centre.

The candidate needs to access the official website for submitting an application form online. Read the information carefully. After submitting an online application form, the candidate needs to take the printout of the submitted application and submit the same at any form selling centre.

Application Fee

  • The application fee for the OMR application form is Rs.350/- (Rs.175/- only for candidates enrolled under Kanyashree).
  • In the case of the online application form, the application fee is Rs.330/- (Rs.165/- for candidates enrolled under Kanyashree).
  • A verification charge of Rs.100/- will be charged from the candidates who passed other than the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.

West Bengal ITI Exam Pattern

  • Applicants must be conversant with the exam pattern/scheme.
  • There will be two separate papers for both groups.
  • The candidates should start preparation on the basis of exam patterns and syllabus.
  • All the questions will multiple choice in nature. Candidates have to mark the correct answer from the given choices.
  • The exam duration will be two hours (2.00). Questions will be based on the subject of the qualifying exam.

West Bengal ITI 2022 Admit Card

  • The Council will put the admit card for both “E” and “M” Group on its web portal to appear in the Common Entrance Examination.
  • Candidates can download their respective admit card from the official website using some particular such as Application Form number/OMR application number, date of birth etc.
  • Admit card will contain information such as the name of the candidate, actual date and exam centre of the test.
  • Must carry admit card on the date of entrance test to appear in the exam.

After successful completion of counselling, the candidates will get admission to the desired trade and institute. However, the admission will depend on rank on the merit list, choice-filled, seat availability in a particular institute. The authority will also check the original documents. The candidate should report to the concerned institute without any delay.

The candidates must carry the seat allotment letter along with other original documents while reporting to the allotted college or institute. After due verification of the original documents, final admission will be granted to the applicants.
