West Bengal ITI 2023: The candidates who are seeking admission in ITI courses in the State of West Bengal should know about the admission process including eligibility criteria, the process to make an application form, examination pattern and counselling process etc. In this regard, candidates must know that the West Bengal State Council for Vocational Training (WBSCVT), Kolkata is the concerned authority, which conducts a common entrance test (for E Group only) for screening eligible students for various ITI courses/trades in different Government/Private ITI Institutions. The West Bengal ITI 2023 application form will be available online for both E and M Groups. Interested candidates can apply online from 1st week of May 2023. The entrance test for E Group candidates is likely to be held in the month of July 2023. It is important to specify here that there is no entrance test for M Group candidates. West Bengal ITI Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates must check all the eligibility conditions carefully and should proceed ahead after ensuring eligibility for the concerned course. The courses are divided into two groups i.e. Group E and Group M and eligibility criteria may differ for each group. Candidates can check important eligibility facts, which are as under:

Age Limit

  • The minimum age of the candidates should be 14 years as of 1st August 2023.
  • There is no upper age limit assigned for seeking admission in ITI courses.

Eligibility for Group “M” Courses/Trades

  • 10th class or equivalent exam passed from a recognized board/institute.
  • Candidates should have Physical Science and Mathematics in the qualifying exam for admission in Engineering Group courses.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply.

Eligibility for Group “E” Courses/Trades

  • Applicants must have completed the 8th standard from any recognized school under West Bengal State Board.

  • The interested candidates seeking admission in ITI courses in different trades/courses at any Government/Private institutions must apply within the prescribed time frame.
  • The WBSCVT will invite an application form for West Bengal ITI 2023 for both E and M Group from May 2023.
  • Aspirants can apply online as well as through offline mode (OMR application form) till the last date of the application form.
  • Candidates need to purchase an information bulletin containing the OMR application form from WBSCVT authorized Govt. ITIs/ITCs/Govt. Sponsored IITs/ITIs under PPP.
  • However, applicants can also apply via online mode at the official website.
  • Candidates should fill the application form carefully with all the details asked therein.
  • Also, pay the necessary application fee which is a mandatory requirement.

Application Fee

  • OMR Application Form- Rs.350/- (Rs.175/- only for candidates enrolled under Kanyashree Scheme).
  • Online Application Form- Rs.330/- (Rs.165/- for candidates enrolled under Kanyashree Scheme).

WB ITI Exam Pattern

  • All the students should be aware of the examination scheme for better scoring.
  • All the questions will be multiple choice in nature.
  • Both groups will have separate papers.
  • The candidate should prepare as per the concerned course.
  • Generally, questions will be based on General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Reasoning.
  • The question paper will be of 2.00 hours duration.

WB ITI Admit Card

Candidates can download the admit card from the official website. Admit card is an essential document for appearing in the entrance test. Candidates need to put their name/registration number and date of birth in the web link for getting admit card. Download the admit card and take a printout of the same.

West Bengal ITI 2023 Result

  • The WBSCVT will declare WB ITI result 2023 on its official website.
  • Candidates can easily download the result with the help of roll number, date of birth, etc.
  • The WBSCVT ITI result is expected to be available in the month of June 2023.
  • Qualified candidates need to attend the counselling process for final admission.

West Bengal ITI Counselling 2023

Candidates, who will qualify for the entrance exam, need to attend WB ITI counselling for further admission process. The concerned authority will place notification for counselling on its official website. The candidate will get an opportunity to opt course/trade during the counselling process. The admission will be finalized on the basis of the candidates’ performance in written tests, counselling and availability of seats in particular course/trade.
