Karnataka TET 2022: Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Exam Date

Karnataka TET 2022 The Department of School Education, Government of Karnataka conducts Teacher Eligibility Test which is commonly known as KAR TET. Interested candidates must fulfill the basic eligibility conditions to appear in this exam. Those who qualify the test will be awarded by ‘Certificate of Eligibility’. Selected candidates are eligible for the post of teachers in Govt. / Govt. aided schools of Karnataka state. Two papers will be conducted where Paper-1 for selection of candidates as primary teachers and Paper-2 for selection of candidates as upper primary teachers. Candidates can apply for either one or both papers as per their interest and eligibility. Karnataka TET 2022 Notification

  • The competent authority is likely to publish Karnataka TET 2022 notification on its official website in the month of January 2022.
  • Karnataka TET 2022 exam is expected to be held in the month of April 2022.

Karnataka TET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with the following qualification are eligible for KARTET 2022:

For Paper I:

  • PUC/ Senior Secondary with not less than 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • PUC/ Senior Secondary with not less than 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • Senior Secondary with not less than 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
  • A/ B.Sc Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

For Paper II:

  • PUC/ Senior Secondary with not less than 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • PUC/ Senior Secondary with not less than 50% marks and 4-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed OR
  • BA/ B.Sc Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • BA/ B.Sc Graduation with not less than 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR
  • BA/ B.Sc Graduation with not less than 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education)

Both Paper I & Paper II:

  • PUC/ Senior Secondary with not less than 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • BA/ B.Sc Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Karnataka TET 2022 Application Form

  • The Karnataka TET 2022 application form will be released online on the official website i.e. www.schooleducation.kar.nic.in.
  • The candidates will have to provide their personal, educational details and address etc. information in the application form.
  • Ensure all the particulars should be correct otherwise application may be rejected.
  • Photograph and signature of the candidates should also be uploaded in the prescribed format into the form.
  • Duly-filled application form, complete in every respect, should be submitted with the prescribed amount of fee.
  • Applicants are suggested to keep a hard copy of the application form along for future reference.

Application Fee:

  • The candidate must pay the registration fee to complete the application form.
  • Payment of the fee can be paid through online mode like net banking, debit card/credit card etc.
  • Keep receipt of the fee with you for future reference.

Karnataka TET Exam Pattern

Overview of Karnataka TET 2022 exam pattern is given below:

  • Exam duration: The duration of KARTET will be 2:30 hours.
  • Medium of exam: Question paper will be available in English, Hindi, Kannada, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu & Marathi (except for language papers).
  • Number of questions: Total 150 questions will be there in the exam.
  • Total marks: The maximum marks will be 150 as each question will carry 1 mark.
  • Type of questions: Question paper will contain objective type questions.
  • Marking scheme: 1 mark will be given for each correct answer
  • Negative marking: Not applicable in this exam.

For Paper 1 (classes 1-5):

KARTET 2022 Admit Card

  • The admit card to appear in the test will be released a few weeks before the commencement of the test.
  • Candidates can download the admit card from the official website and take its printout.
  • Important details related to the exam such as center, date, time, paper, shift, etc. will be mentioned on the admit card.
  • The candidates should preserve the admit card as damaged and distorted admit card will not be considered as valid. 

KARTET 2022 Result

  • Karnataka TET result 2022 will be declared and published by the authorities on the official website.
  • Candidates can check the result using their details such as roll number, date of birth, etc.
  • Those who qualify the eligibility test will get the ‘Certificate of Eligibility’ and can apply for post of teachers in Karnataka state.
