IGNOU B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria 2021-22: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has invited application form for the upcoming academic session for its B.Ed. programme. Candidates who are willing to take admission in B.Ed. course of IGNOU can fill the application form after verifying their eligibility. Candidates have to go through an entrance test for admission in B.Ed. course. Admission will be offered to those candidates who will qualify the entrance test as well as satisfy the other eligibility requirements. The detailed information regarding IGNOU B.Ed. eligibility criteria 2021 is provided below in this article.
Update: The competent authority i.e. IGNOU has released the official notification for IGNOU B.Ed. 2021 entrance test. The applicants have to submit application form within the prescribed time frame i.e. from 2nd March to 20th March 2021. IGNOU B.Ed. Exam 2021 is scheduled to be held on 11th April 2021.

Candidates who are looking for IGNOU B.Ed. course, must fulfil the following eligibility criteria in order to appear in the IGNOU B.Ed. Entrance Test 2021:
- Candidates having a Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Science/Social Sciences/Humanity/Commerce with minimum 50% marks will be eligible.
- Those who have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Mathematics and Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent qualification will also be eligible.
- The following categories students will be eligible in respect of B.Ed. (ODL):
-Candidates who have completed teacher education programme through face to face mode recognized by NCTE.
-Candidates trained in service teachers in elementary education.
- There are reservation/relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility will be granted to the SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD candidates as per the Central Government Rules.
- Kashmiri migrants and war widow will also get the reservation as per University Rules.
- Masters’ Degree awarded without a first degree will not be considered for the purpose of Academic Studies in IGNOU.
Points to be Noted
- Candidate should apply only after verifying eligibility conditions.
- If anyone found ineligible later, his/her candidature will be cancelled.
- Eligible for making application form does not mean that you are eligible for admission.
- Admission will be offered to those candidates only who will qualify the entrance test as well as meet the other eligibility requirements.
- The authority will also check all the educational qualification documents at the time of counselling.
