IGNOU B.Ed. Admission Process 2021 -22: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers admission in B.Ed. course to the eligible candidates. The National Testing Agency conducts entrance test through online mode. However, this year IGNOU will conduct IGNOU B.Ed. exam on 11th April 2021. Those who qualify the entrance test, can participate in the further admission process. Admission to the B.Ed. Course held purely on the basis of marks obtained by the applicants in the qualifying exam. Candidates, who are eligible for admission in B.Ed. Course, must submit an application form for appearing in the entrance test. The duly filled-in application form along with prescribed documents should be submitted online before the last date. The authority after scrutiny of applications will issue admit card to the eligible candidates. Candidate must appear in the entrance test for admission in IGNOU B.Ed. course.

UPDATE: The IGNOU has released official dates for IGNOU B.Ed. 2021 admission on its official website. Registration process has been started online from 2nd March 2021. IGNOU B.Ed. 2021 -22: Reservation

There are some reservation criteria for the reserved category candidates such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Class (OBC) non-creamy layer as per prescribed Rules and Regulations. Kashmiri Migrants, War Widows, and Physically Challenged candidates will also eligible for admission and will get relaxation under reservations criteria. Candidates have to produce valid documents in support of the claim under reservation criteria. If someone on the basis fake certificate appeared in the entrance test or took admission, the authority may take legal action against such candidate if found guilty of misconduct.

IGNOU B.Ed. 2021-22: Counselling

Successful candidates need to appear in counselling process for admission in B.Ed. Course. In this regard, the university will send information or a call letter to appear before the counselling committee. The authority will check the original documents of the candidates and accordingly will take the final call on admission. Candidates have to carry all original documents during counselling.

List of documents required during Counselling Process

The candidate must carry the following documents in original during counselling process:

  • 10th (High Secondary)/12th (Senior Secondary) school certificate for verification of date of birth and marks.
  • Original Admit card/Hall ticket
  • Graduation/Post-graduation degree and mark-sheet
  • Certificate and Mark Sheet of NCTE recognized teaching programme completed through face to face mode.
  • Category/caste certificate if applicable.
  • Original certificate to provide facilities for practical work including internship, from the recognized secondary/Sr. Secondary school.
  • Certificate to offer facilities for B.Ed. practical work including internship programme (four weeks in B.Ed. first-year and Sixteen weeks in B.Ed. Second-year from a Higher/Secondary/Sr. Secondary school in the given format in the information booklet.

IGNOU B.Ed 2021-22: Admission Validity

The candidate will get an offer to join IGNOU B.Ed. course on successful completion of counselling process. There will a certain date to join the course. The candidate must report to the concerned authority for admission before the due date. Admission will be completed purely on the basis of the candidate’s written exam score, document verification, and seat availability. If any candidate failed to report to the college within the specified time and date, his/her candidature will be cancelled even after qualifying the exam. The competent authority has all the right to take a decision on admission of the applicants.

  3. Sir i have a degree fazli deniyat deoband and also passed only English for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year in 3 consecutive years through university of kashmir. Am I eligible to do B.ed through IGNOU. plz inform
