IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants, who are planning to appear in the IBPS Clerk 2022 examination, must fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by IBPS. The basic minimum eligibility criteria specified by the IBPS are:

Nationality/Citizenship

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India. He/she should be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came here before 1st January 1962 with an intention to settle here permanently.

Age Limit

  • The minimum age of the candidate as of 01.08.2022 should be 20 years and the maximum should be 28 years.
  • Age relaxation will be given to the reserved category as per the norms laid down.
  • The date of birth mentioned in the High School (10th) certificate will be considered for age calculation.

Exam Pattern

The IBPS Clerk 2022 exam will be held in two phases i.e. Preliminary Exam and Main Exam. The candidates who will qualify the preliminary exam will be called for appearing in IBPS Main Exam. All the questions in the exam will be bilingual except for the English section. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of performance in the written exam.
