HPU B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria
The applicants must meet the prescribed eligibility norms in order to appear in the HPU B.Ed. Entrance Test 2022. Here is the crucial information regarding HPU B.Ed 2022 eligibility criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in Medical/ Non-Medical/ Commerce/ Arts subjects or a master’s degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce with 50% marks or BE/ B.Tech. with 55% marks or equivalent is required.
- Relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks will be given to the SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.
- Candidates whose qualifying exam results have not been announced yet are also eligible to apply.
- Appearing candidates need to produce relevant documents later during the admission process.

Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can submit their application for appearing in the exam. The application form for HPU B.Ed. 2022 admission can be accessed online on the official website i.e. www.admissions.hpushimla.in.
- The candidates have to access the official website as mentioned above and then click on the concerned link.
- Basic details of the applicants such as name, father’s name, address, mobile number, e-mail id, date of birth, etc. will be asked in the form.
- Academic qualifications and choices for the exam centre also need to be provided in the application form.
- Scanned copies of the candidate’s photograph and signature will be uploaded in the form in the next step.
- A duly-filled application should then be submitted with the prescribed fee and a printout should be taken for self-reference.
- However, there is no need to send the hard copy of the application form or any other document to the university office.
- Payment of application fee can be done using a debit card, credit card or net banking.

- For General/ OBC candidates: Rs. 1000/-
- For SC/ ST/ Antyodaya/ IRDP candidates: Rs. 500/-
- The candidates can pay the registration fee through online modes like net baking, credit/debit cards.
- However, payment can also be done using the State Bank of India e-challan.

Exam Pattern
The pattern of the HPU B.Ed entrance exam 2022 is given below:
- Mode of paper: It is an offline mode exam means pen and paper-based.
- Exam duration: The test duration will be 2 hours.
- The number of questions: A total of 150 questions will be there in the exam.
- Type of questions: All the questions will be objective type in nature.
- Total marks: The question paper will be of 150 marks.
- Marking scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer
- Negative marking: No negative marking applicable.

Admit Card
- Admit card for the B.Ed. entrance exam will be made available for download on the official website www.hpuniv.ac.in.
- The candidates should take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam centre.
- In the admit card, the roll number, name, father’s name, category, photograph, date, time, venue of entrance test will be printed.
- In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, the candidate should immediately inform the University (in writing) along with the fee of Rs. 100/-.
- The admit card should be kept safe by the candidates until the whole admission process is over.
HPU B.Ed. 2022 Result
- The result of all the candidates who appeared in the entrance test will be declared and made available through online mode.
- Candidates can see their results from the official website of the university.
- A merit list of the qualified candidates will also be drawn and published around a week after the result announcement.
- After the merit of the entrance test is released, the counselling of the candidates will begin.
