HPCET 2020: The Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) conducts an entrance test every year for admission in engineering courses. HPCET Eligibility Criteria 2020

The candidates should fulfil the HPCET eligibility criteria in order to appear in the exam. First, obtain official HPCET 2020 bulletin from the website and read each and every detail especially about eligibility criteria and after ensuring the eligibility, apply online.   • The applicants must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognized board/institute.
  • candidates must score minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST category) aggregate in the qualifying exam with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
  • Apart from having Physics and Mathematics, candidates should also have one optional subject among Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology and Technical Vocational subject.

Application Fee

The applicants have to make payment of Rs.1500/- as application fee. Reserved category candidates need to pay Rs.1400/- only. Payment can be done through net banking, credit card and debit card. The application fee will not be refunded in any case.

The HPCET 2020 syllabus will consist of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics based on 10+2 class. Applicants must hold strong command on these subject for a better result. Properties of Solids and Liquids, Rotation Work, The laws of Motion, Oscillations and Waves, Electromagnetic Waves,  Physics and Measurement, Motions, Energy, and Power, , Current, Power, The Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Theory of Gases Dynamics, Atoms and Nuclei, Communication Systems, The Current and the Magnetic Effects of Magnetism Electronic Equipment, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current.

Chemistry

Atomic Structure, Matters States, Chemical Thermodynamics, Redox reactions and electricity, Chemical kinetics, Chemical bonding and molecular structure, Surface Chemistry, Nitrogen-rich organic compounds, Isolation of principles and methodology, Refined and depiction of organic compounds, metals, Periods of properties and classification of the elements, Co-Ordination compounds, S, p, d & f – Block Elements, Environmental Chemistry, Some of the basic principle of organic chemistry, Practical chemistry-related principles, Chemistry of Everyday Life, Oxygen-containing organic compounds.

HPCET  Admit Card 2020

The candidates can obtain the admit card from the official website using registration number and date of birth. It is expected that the admit card will be available probably in the month of May 2020. Remember, no admit card will be sent via post to any individual. Download the admit card from the website and take the printout of the same for future reference. Admit card will contain information like name of the candidates, address, exam date and venue of the exam with complete address. Candidates must carry the admit card on the crucial date of exam other it will be difficult to get entry in the exam.

HPCET 2020 Result

The competent authority will announce the HPECET result 2020 on its official website at the appropriate time. The result will be published on the official website most probably in the month of May 2020. Those who qualify the test will be invited to attend counselling process for getting final admission.

Download your result from the website and take the printout of the same for future reference. The competent authority will also prepare a merit list based on candidate’s marks scored in the exam. Keep ready all your documents for counselling purpose.

HPCET Counselling 2020

The HPCET 2020 counselling will start in the month of June 2020. Candidates must apply for counselling as per the prescribed schedule. Appearing in the counselling process is mandatory for admission in the desired course.

The shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of candidates’ score secured in the written exam. Meritorious candidates will be invited to attend counseling on scheduled date and time. The candidates also need to pay the counselling fee.

Mere appearance in the counselling process does not allow any student to claim admission. Final selection of candidates will depend on various factors such as candidate’s written exam score, seat availability, the category of candidate and verification of original documents.
