HP PAT Application Form 2021
Candidates can submit HP PAT 2021 application form via online mode. Keep the following things in mind while submitting the HP PAT application form:
- Before proceeding with the application form must obtain the official HP PAT information bulletin 2021.
- Read the complete brochure carefully and check all the eligibility criteria details.
- The application form is available online from 28th July 2021.
- Candidates should apply before the last date of the application form i.e. 16th August 2021.
- You need to provide all the personal, education, and correspondence address details carefully in the application form.
- The photograph and signature in the prescribed format should also be uploaded in the application form.
- Make the payment of the requisite application fee to complete the application form.
- Check all the particulars entered in the application form very carefully.
- Submit the application form at the end and take a printout of the same for future reference.
Application Fee
- Candidates have to pay the necessary application fee amounting to Rs.650/- in the case of the general category.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates have to pay Rs.400/- only.
- Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode or SBI Bank Challan.
- The registration fee is non-refundable hence, check all the conditions before applying online.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are recommended to go through eligibility criteria in detail and after ensuring eligibility for the concerned course, proceed for submitting an application form. The HP PAT eligibility criteria are as under:
Domicile
Candidates should have a valid domicile certificate of the State of Himachal Pradesh.
Educational Qualification
- Qualifying Exam: 10th or equivalent exam pass from any recognized board/university.
- Qualifying Marks: candidates should have obtained a minimum of 35% marks in the qualifying exam.
- Subject: Science, Mathematics, and English are the mandatory subjects in 10th class (qualifying exam).
Note: Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply.
HP PAT Exam Pattern
Aspirants should collect proper information about examination pattern in order to qualify the entrance test. The exam pattern includes various facts such as exam mode, type of questions, number of questions, marking scheme, etc. Check the following information with regard to the HP PAT exam pattern:
- Exam Mode: It is a pen and paper (OMR sheet) based exam.
- Duration of Exam: The exam will be of 3.00 hours duration.
- Number of Questions: Total 150 questions will be there in the exam.
- Type of Questions: All the questions will multiple choice in nature.
- Marking Scheme: For each correct response, 4 marks will be awarded.
- Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted as a penalty for each wrong attempt.
- Language: Questions paper will be in both Hindi and English language.

HP PAT Syllabus
The candidates are recommended to obtain complete information about the HP PAT 2021 Syllabus for better preparation. However, the HP PAT syllabus includes subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English and the questions will be based on the 10th standard. Therefore, candidates should hold good command on 10th standard subjects. You can go through the previous year’s question papers or sample paper books to know the syllabus and the question pattern.
HP PAT Preparation Tips
The candidates can check the following tips with regard to the HP PAT preparation tips:
- Candidates must obtain the official information bulletin and go through the examination scheme and syllabus.
- Check the complete syllabus and mark the important topics which are more relevant to the exam perspective.
- Prepare a study time table and accordingly start preparation.
- You need to focus more on important topics and also prepare short notes for revision at the last stage.
- Also, solve previous year question papers to get conversant with the examination pattern and difficulty level.
- Take care of your health and stay calm during the exam.
HP PAT Admit Card
The authority will issue HP PAT admit Card to the candidates before the exam. The admit card is expected to be available in the month of August 2021. Candidates can obtain the admit card from the official website. Enter the registration ID and password for downloading the admit card. The admit card will contain information like the candidate’s name, father name, address, date of exam, venue of the test and some exam day instructions.
Check the particulars carefully after downloading the admit card and if there is any discrepancy then report the same to the competent authority. Candidates must note that no hard copy of the admit card will be sent to the candidates. Take a printout of the admit card and keep it safe for exam and admission process. Must carry the admit card on the day of the exam to avoid any consequences.
HP PAT Result 2021
The Himachal Pradesh Technical Education Board (HPTEB), Dharamshala being the regulatory body, will declare HP PAT result on its official website. Candidates can check their result using registration number and date of birth. The result is expected to declare most probably in the month of September 2021.
The competent authority i.e. HPTEB will also publish the answer key of the exam before the announcement of the result. The HP PAT answer key will be available in the last week of September 2021.
HP PAT Counselling 2021
The HP PAT counselling 2021 will be held in online mode and it may start from September 2021. The competent authority after declaring the result will publish a notification for the counselling process. Shortlisted candidates must participate in the counselling process for final admission.
Counselling process may have multiple rounds as per seat availability and other facts. Allocation of seats will be done as per the candidate’s preference given in the form. Candidates have to report allotted polytechnic institution for finalizing the admission process. The competent authority will also verify the original documents of the candidates. Follow the instructions given in the call letter.
