GCET Eligibility Criteria 2019: GCET 2019 entrance test is scheduled to be held on 7th and 8th May 2019 for which application form may start from 2nd week of March 2019. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa is the exam conducting authority. All those students who are seeking admission to engineering, architecture and other professional courses should apply within the specified time limit. Candidate must check eligibility requirements before submitting GCET 2019 application form. If anyone submits application form without having requisite eligibility then the competent authority will cancel candidature of such candidate. GCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria: Important Instructions

  • Candidate should check official website of the exam conducting authority i.e. Directorate of Technical Education, Goa for accurate and detailed information.
  • Apply only after satisfying the eligibility conditions prescribed for the exam.
  • Prepare all your documents required to fill the application form.
  • Candidates are recommended that do not conceal any information in respect of eligibility criteria.
  • The candidate found ineligible at any stage his/her application/candidature will be cancelled immediately.

GCET Eligibility Criteria 2019

Applicants can verify their eligibility as per the following information. However, candidates should also check official information bulletin from the official website. Check the eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

Age Criteria

  • As on 31st December 2019, the candidate’s age should be at least 17 years for medical courses including Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Allied Health Sciences, Dentistry and Nursing etc. courses.
  • No age limit specified for engineering, pharmacy and architecture courses.

Nationality

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • NRI candidates having a genuine passport and PIO/ OCI card holders can also apply for GCET.

Academic Qualification

Engineering courses

  • Candidate must be 12th class passed or any equivalent exam with Physics, Mathematics and English subject along with one additional subject among Computer Science/Biology/Biotechnology/ Chemistry.
  • Applicants must obtain at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying exam to be eligible.

Bachelor of Architecture

  • Intermediate (12th) or any equivalent exam with Mathematics subject having at least 50% marks. However, reserved category candidates should obtain minimum 45% only.

B. Pharma

  • 12th class passed or any equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and English and should have one additional subject among the Computer Science/Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology.

BHMS & AHS

  • 10+2 (Intermediate) passed or any equivalent exam passed with Biology, Chemistry English and Mathematics subject. Candidate should also secure minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Reserved category candidates need to obtain minimum 40% marks only.

B.Sc. Nursing

  • Intermediate passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject.
  • They should also obtain 45% marks in the qualifying exam. However, there is relaxation for reserved category candidate and they should secure minimum 40% marks.
