GCET 2020: The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa conducts GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test)) for offering admission to the eligible candidates in various Engineering, Architecture and many other degree courses. It is a State level entrance exam. Aspirants seeking admission in Engineering, Architecture and Medical courses can submit the application form for GCET exam. There are various college colleges/institutes available in the State of Goa which consider GCET score for admission in these courses. The GCET Application form will be available probably in the month of March 2020. GCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants are recommended to check the minimum basic eligibility criteria prescribed for GCET 2020. He/she must ensure their eligibility to appear in the GCET exam before filling up the application form. The minimum basic GCET eligibility criteria are as under:

Engineering Courses
  • Candidates should have completed 10+2 or its equivalent exam from recognized board.
  • He/she should have Physics, Mathematics and English as the compulsory subjects and one of the subject in Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/ Computer Science.
  • Applicants should have scored at least 45% marks aggregate (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates)
  • There is no age limit prescribed.
B. Arch.
  • Applicant must have passed 12th or equivalent exam with Mathematics subject.
  • He/she should have scored minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
  • Candidates should also qualify the NATA exam.
  • There is no age limit for this course.
BHMS and AHS
  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 or its equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject.
  • They must have secured at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates).
  • Candidates should have completed 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.
B. Sc. Nursing
  • Candidates passed in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject.
  • He/she should have got at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
B. Pharma.
  • 10+2 or equivalent exam passed with Physics, Chemistry, and English as the compulsory subjects.
  • Apart from the above subjects, candidates should have an additional subject in Mathematics, Biotechnology, Biology and Computer Science.
  • There is no age limit.

GCET Application Form 2020

The candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria should submit the application form of GCET 2020. Read the following information:

  • The GCET application form is likely to release in the 2nd week of March 2020.
  • Candidates can obtain the application form from the various authorized centre in the State of Goa.
  • Fill the application form correctly.
  • Paste recent passport size photograph in the space given.
  • Candidates have to pay application fee of Rs. 1500/- through Demand Draft.
  • Demand draft should be in favour of Directorate of technical Education payable at Panaji.
  • Submit the application form with all enclosures like DD, photograph, and self-attested educational certificates to the authorized centre.
  • Application submitted after the cut-off date will not be entertained.

Note: Candidates make sure that all the information provided in the application form should be true. Do not conceal any fact with regard to eligibility criteria.

GCET Exam Pattern 2020

Candidates should be conversant with the exam pattern of GCET 2020. Check the following information in respect of GCET exam pattern:

Mode of Exam
  • Question paper will be an offline exam i.e. pen & paper based having objective type questions.
Exam Duration
  • Duration of the exam will 2.00 hours.
Number of Questions
  • Question paper will consist of 75 MCQ type questions.
Marking Scheme
  • For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
  • There will no negative marking in the paper.
Syllabus
  • Syllabus of the paper will include Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Questions will be based on 10+2 level.

GCET 2020 Admit Card

Eligible candidates who have successfully submitted the application form will received admit card for GCET 2020. Admit card will consist of candidate’s name, roll number, venue of the exam, exam date. Candidates must bring admit card along with photo ID proof while appearing in the entrance exam.

GCET Result 2020

  • The result of the GCET 2020 entrance exam will be available probably in the month of June 2020.
  • Candidates can check their result on official website of the DTE, Goa.
  • The concerned authority will not send result to the individual candidate.
  • On the basis of marks obtained by the students, merit list will be prepared.
  • Candidates can download the merit list from the website.
  • Successful candidates will have to attend counselling for further admission process.

GCET Counselling 2020

  • Counselling process will start from 3rd week of June 2020.
  • Qualified candidates have to fill the application form for admission.
  • On the basis of marks obtained in the written examination, merit list will be prepared for each course separately.
  • Subsequently, successful candidates will be invited to attend counselling.
  • Candidates have to appear in person in the specified centre.
  • All the candidates should carry admit card, educational documents at the time of counselling.
  • Final selection of any candidate for admission in any particular course will depend on his/her written exam score, seats availability and verification of original documents.
