CTET Exam Pattern 2021: It is very important to know the exam pattern before appearing in any entrance exam. CTET Exam Pattern 2021 -22

Exam Pattern for Preliminary Stage (Paper-I Class I to V)

Paper-I of the CTET exam will be held for those candidates who want to become teachers at Primary Level i.e. Class I to Class V. All the questions will be objective type in nature. The content and structure of the Paper-I are as under:

  • The paper will be bilingual i.e English and Hindi.
  • The Paper will contain 150 MCQ-type questions and each question will be of 1 mark.

  • There will be no negative marking applicable in this exam.
  • Questions will be based on the prescribed syllabus of NCERT.
  • Candidates can choose any language as Language-I and others as Language-II from the options available in the language section which is required to clarify on the confirmation page.

Exam Pattern for Elementary Stage (Paper-II Class VI to VIII)

Paper-II of the CTET Exam is conducted for the candidates who are willing to join as a teacher in class VI to Class VIII. Paper-II is also an objective-type test. The content and structure of Paper-II are as under:

  • The questions paper will contain 150 objective-type questions and each question will carry one mark.
  • All questions are compulsory in the paper.
  • The paper will be bilingual i.e English and Hindi.
  • The duration of Paper-II will be 2.30 hours.
  • No negative marking is applicable in the exam.
  • Questions will be based on the prescribed syllabus of NCERT for Class VI to Class VIII but the difficulty level will be as per the 12th standard.
  • Candidates can choose any language as Language-I and others as Language-II from the options available in the language section which is required to clarify on the confirmation page.

Important Points

  • The CTET shall apply to the Central Govt. schools such as NVS, KVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc. and schools under the administrative control of Union Territory.
  • State Government can also consider the CTET if they decide not to conduct the State TET.
  • CTET qualifying certificate will be valid for several years from the date of issuance of the certificate.
  • Candidates can attempt CTET any number of times for obtaining the CTET certificate.
  • A CTET qualified person can appear again for improving his/her CTET score.
  • The exam centre once allotted cannot be changed under any circumstances.
