CLAT 2020: Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an important exam for law aspirants which is conducted by 18 National Law Universities (NLUs) on rotational basis. CLAT 2020 Important Dates

CLAT Application Form 2020: Instructions

Candidates should keep following things in mind while making application form:

  • Candidates can submit CLAT application form 2020 through online mode only.
  • Visit official website of the exam conducting authority i.e. www.clat.ac.in for CLAT registration.
  • Candidates need to provide persona information, academic qualification and correspondence address in the application form after successful registration.
  • Also upload your scanned images of recent photograph and signature in the given specifications.
  • Pay the requisite application fee to complete the application process.
  • Submit application form at the end and take printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

Application Fee

  • Candidates need to pay Rs.4000/- in case of General/OBC/SAP and any other category.
  • SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs.3500/- only.
  • Candidates can pay application fee through Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card.

Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants should verify their eligibility before submitting CLAT 2020 online application form. Check CLAT eligibility criteria below and ensure your eligibility as per the conditions:

For Undergraduate Courses

  • Academic Qualification: 10+2 (Intermediate) with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam i.e. 10+2, can also apply subject to fulfilment of prescribed conditions.
  • Age Criteria: Applicant’s age for UG course should not exceed 20 years (22 years for SC/ST candidates) as on 1st July 2020.

For Postgraduate Courses

  • Academic Qualification: B. degree or any equivalent exam from a recognised university.
  • Candidates must have secured 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) aggregate in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates pursuing qualifying examination can also apply subject to fulfilment of prescribed conditions.
  • Age Criteria: No upper age limit for PG course.

CLAT Exam Pattern

The CLAT exam pattern for both UG and PG courses is different. Candidates must be aware about the exam pattern before appearing in the entrance test. Check following information in respect of CLAT exam pattern:

  • The entrance test is an online test (computer based exam).
  • Questions paper will contain total 200 objective type questions.
  • Exam duration will be of 2.00 hours.

  • There will be 1 mark for each correct answer and penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong response.

  • It is also an online entrance test i.e. computer based exam.
  • Question paper for PG course will contain total 150 marks.

  • Every correct response will give you 1 mark and for each wrong attempt 0.25 marks will be deducted.
  • The duration of exam will be 2.00 hours.

CLAT 2020 Syllabus

CLAT syllabus in case of UG programme includes the subjects like General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English including Comprehension, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Numerical Ability. Candidate must command on these subjects.

In case of PG course, questions will be based on Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence and other law subjects like Criminal Law, International Law, Torts, Environment Law and Human Rights etc. Check previous year question paper for having rough idea about the exam.

CLAT Admit Card

CLAT admit card will be available on official website prior to the examination. Candidates can download the same from the official portal. There is no other way to get admit card. Admit card includes the crucial information like name, roll number, exam date and time, venue of exam etc. Must carry identity proof along with admit card on the day of exam.

Answer Key

The answer keys of the CLAT 2020 exam will be available online at official website in due course of time after entrance test. Candidates can avail the same easily from the website. It will be helpful to count expected number of marks.

CLAT 2020 Result

  • The Result of CLAT 2020 exam is expected to declare in the month of May 2020.

CLAT 2020 Counselling
