UGC NET Exam Pattern 2021
Candidates must know that this year UGC NET exam pattern has been revised. There will be only two paper as the third paper has been excluded. Candidates can check paper-wise details such as maximum marks, the number of questions and duration of the exam in the following table:

UGC NET Paper-I Pattern
- The Paper-I will consist of 50 questions and all questions will be compulsory.
- Each question will carry 2 marks hence, maximum marks will be 100.
- All the questions in this paper will objective type in nature.
- The duration of exam will be one hour.
- The question will be based on General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, Divergent thinking.
- Paper-I will be designed in a manner to check teaching/research aptitude, general nature of the candidate.
- Candidates are advised to attempt whole question paper as there will be no negative marking for the wrong answer.
UGC NET Paper-II Pattern
- UGC NET Paper-II will consist of 100 questions and all questions will be compulsory.
- Each question will carry 2 marks hence, maximum marks will be 200.
- All the questions will objective type in nature.
- The duration of exam will be two hours.
- The questions will be based on the subject selected by the candidates.
- There is no negative marking for the wrong attempt hence do not leave unattempted questions.
UGC NET 2021 Exam: Important Instructions
- All the candidate must be prepared well before appearing in the exam.
- Must bring admit card while appearing in the exam along with photo identity card.
- Candidate should bring Blue/Black ball point pen to fill the OMR sheet.
- Candidates cannot enter in the examination centre without having valid admit card issued by the CBSE.
- Once the paper start, no one will be allowed to enter in the examination centre. Hence, reach well within the time.
- Provision of negative marking is not applicable.
- CBSE has the authority to change the examination city or exam date without giving any reason.
- Grievances with regard to the answer keys after the announcement of UGC NET result will not be entertained.
- The decision of the competent authority shall be final in all matters related to UGC NET EXAM 2021.
