NIFT 2023 exam notification will be released online. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) invites application for entrance test for admission in various UG/PG courses in Fashion Technology. It is a leading institute in the field of fashion and design. The institute is running various undergraduate and post graduate courses in Fashion and Design Technology. NIFT conducts entrance exam on annual basis. Candidates interested in fashion and design field can apply for NIFT 2023 entrance exam. NIFT Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should meet the eligibility conditions laid down by the NIFT. There are certain criteria prescribed for both UG and PG courses which are as under:

Eligibility criteria for UG courses

Courses/Programmes	Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor of Design (B.Des.)	Candidates should have completed 10+2 (intermediate) or equivalent exam from a recognized board/institute. Those who are appearing in the qualifying exam will also be eligible to apply. Candidates passed or appearing in the SSC examination (10+2) with five subjects from National Open School can apply. Three years diploma holder will be eligible to apply. Age of the candidate should not exceed 23 years. Five year relaxation to the reserved category candidates will be given as per rules.
Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.)	Candidate must have completed 10+2 or its equivalent exam from a recognized board/institute with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. Candidate having 3 years diploma in engineering will also eligible to apply. Age of the applicant should not be more than 23 years (5 year relaxation to SC/ST/PH candidates).

Eligibility criteria for PG courses

Master of Design (M. Des.)	Candidate having B. Des. degree from a recognised institute or Having diploma in UG design from NIFT/NID or UG diploma of 3 years duration from NIFT/NID Those who are appearing in the qualifying exam will also be eligible. Age limit is not prescribed for PG courses.
Master of Fashion Management (MFM)	Candidates having undergraduate degree from a recognized institute can apply or Diploma of 3 years duration from NIFT/NID. Appearing candidates will also apply. No age limit fixed.
Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.)	Applicant having B.E./B.Tech. degree from recognized institute can apply. B. F. Tech. degree holder from NIFT will be eligible. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible.

NIFT Application Form 2023

The application form for NIFT 2023 entrance exam will be available from last week of December 2022. All the candidates who are fulfilling the eligibility norms should apply online at official website within the prescribed time frame. Candidates should follow the steps mentioned below for making NIFT Application Form:

NIFT 2023 application form will be available on official website.
Go for registration and fill the application form.
Fill all the details correctly and do not leave any blank.
Applicant should own a valid e-mail ID and mobile number for future correspondence.
Before submitting the application form, candidate should re-check the application form.
Candidates have to pay required application fee in order to complete application process.
Candidates should retain a hard copy of the application form as well as payment slip for future reference.

Application Fee

Candidates must pay applicant fee as it is mandatory requirement. The application fee for General/OBC candidates is Rs.1500/- while SC/ST/PH category candidates should pay Rs.750/- only. Applicants can make payment through net banking, debit/credit card or via demand draft. The Demand Draft should be in favour of “NIFT HO” payable at New Delhi. Applicant who opt demand draft option for making payment of application fee should send duly filled application form along with demand draft to the concerned authority at following address:

NIFT Exam Pattern

The NIFT exam pattern will consist of General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT) and Group Discussion/Personal Interview (GD/PI). GAT is mandatory for all courses while candidates who selected B.Des. and M.Des. Courses will face CAT exam after GAT. Candidates who will obtain qualifying marks in written exam will have to appear in Situation Test (for B.Des.) and GD/PI (for M.Des.).

Candidates, who will choose MFM and M.F. Tech. courses, will have to face GD/PI after qualifying the GAT while candidate seeking B.F.Tech. course, will have to appear in GAT only.

GAT Exam Pattern for B.Des. and M.Des. Courses

Exam Mode	Offline mode.
Duration of exam	The exam duration will be 2.00 hours.
Total questions	There will be 100 questions for B.Des. and 120 question for M. Des. in GAT.
Language	The paper will be in English only.
Marking scheme	Each question will carry equal marks.
Negative marking	Negative marking is not applicable.
Subject section with question no. for B.Des.	Quantitative Ability (20 question), Analytical Ability (15), General Knowledge & Current Affairs (15), Communication Ability (25) and English Comprehension (25 questions).
Subject section with question no. for M.Des.	Quantitative Ability (20 question), Analytical Ability (25), General Knowledge & Current Affairs (15), Communication Ability (30) and English Comprehension (30 questions).

GAT Exam Pattern for B.F.Tech. and M.F.Tech. Courses

Exam Mode	Offline mode.
Duration of exam	The exam duration will be 3.00 hours.
Total questions	There will be 150 questions.
Language	English only.
Marking scheme	Each question will carry equal marks.
Negative marking	Not applicable.
Subject section with question no.	Quantitative Ability (30 question), Analytical and Logical Ability (25), General Knowledge & Current Affairs (25), Communication Ability and English Comprehension (45 questions) and Case Study (25 questions).

NIFT 2023 Admit Card

The NIFT will place admit card on its official website in the month of March 2023. Eligible candidates can get their admit card from the website easily. Enter your registration number and date of birth for downloading the admit card. The authority will not send hard copy of the admit card. It is essential to bring admit card on the day of exam otherwise entry in the examination centre cannot be possible.

NIFT Result 2023

The concerned authority will place NIFT 2023 result on official website, probably in the month of May/June, 2023.
Candidates can download the result from NIFT website using roll number and date of birth.
Take printout of the result and keep it safe for future reference.
Qualified candidates are required to appear for further process as per directions.

NIFT Counselling 2023

Shortlisted candidates on the basis of result and merit list will have to appear in the counselling process. The NIFT will organize the counselling in the month of April/May, 2023. In this regard, the official notification will be placed on website. All the qualified candidates must appear before the counselling committee with all original documents.
