Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Modern Office Management:
- The candidate must be passed H.S.S.L.C. Examination (12th Standard) with Arts, Sciences or Commerce from Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) or its equivalent examination.
- Age Limit: Applicants born on or after 01.08.2000 (for the General category) and 01.08.1999 (for SC/ST) are eligible to apply.
Eligibility for other programmes:
- He/she must possess H.S.L.C. examination certificate from the Board of Secondary Education, Assam or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with 40% (35% for SC & 33% for ST) marks on average in Mathematics and Sciences.
- Age Limit: Applicants born on or after 01.08.2004 (for the General category) and 01.08.2001 (for SC/ST) are eligible to apply.
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
Domicile: Applicant must belong to Assam as a permanent resident and should possess a domicile certificate.
Age Criteria: The upper age limit for Assam PAT is 21 years as of 1st August 2024.

Assam PAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus

- The paper will comprise questions from Science and Mathematics.
- The paper will contain 100 objective-type questions having four options.
- There will be only one correct response, the candidate should mark the answers carefully with a black/blue ball pen only.
- There will be 1 mark for every correct answer.

- The exam duration will be of 2.00 hours.

Assam PAT Admit card
Eligible candidates will get an opportunity to download admit cards from the official website i.e. http://dteassam.in/. The admit card will be available probably in the month of May 2024. Candidates can download the admit card using the registration number and date of birth.
Take at least two printouts of admit card and retain the same till the admission process gets over. Candidates must carry admit cards on the day of the exam otherwise the authority will not allow them to enter the exam centre.
Assam Polytechnic (PAT) Result 2024
The successful candidate of Assam PAT 2024 may get their result through notification of the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam on its official website. The candidates are advised to check the official website regularly. No other information will be sent in this regard.
The Assam PAT Result 2024 is expected to be available in the month of June 2024. The final selection will be based on the rank secured by the candidate and the fulfilment of minimum basic eligibility conditions.
Assam PAT 2024 Counselling
The successful candidate who will qualify for the Assam Polytechnic 2024 examination will be called for an interview/counselling for the further selection process. The Assam PAT counselling date will be announced followed by the result. Candidates must participate in the counselling process for finalizing the admission process. In this regard, the competent authority will publish a separate notification. At the time of counselling, the candidates need to bring the following essential documents which will be verified to ascertain eligibility of the candidate:
- Admit card for the Assam PAT 2024 exam.
- All the educational (10th and 12th) mark sheets and certificates are original. Candidates must retain a set of the attested documents that need to be submitted.
- A certificate as proof of date of birth such as a 10th certificate etc.
- Category certificate for those who want relaxation under SC/ST/OBC etc. category.
- Character certificate from the last institute.
- Certificate from concerned authority if claiming benefits under sports quota.
- At the time of counselling, the candidates will get the choice of polytechnic and branch of engineering on the basis of the merit list.
- A gap certificate needs to be provided if the candidate discontinued studies in between passing the last exam.
- The selected candidate must pay the admission fee in the allocated institute timely and get admitted without any delay, failing which candidature will be treated as cancelled.
- For candidates who are failed to report their classes within 10 days from the beginning of class, the seat against their admission will be treated as vacant and admission will be made on the basis of the waiting list.
- Once admitted to any polytechnic institute, the candidate cannot change their course of study.
