AIIMS MBBS Exam Mode
The entrance test is a computer based test where candidates will be provided a computer system to attempt the online test. Candidates have to attempt question paper within the specified time. One question will be displayed at a time on the computer screen, when you attempt that then next question will appear on the screen. You need to solve question one by one.
Exam Sessions
The examination will be held in two sessions i.e. Morning Session and Evening Session. Morning session will be of 9.00 AM to 12.30 PM whereas Evening session will be of 3.00 PM to 6.30 PM.
Number of Questions
The question paper will contain total 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge also. There will be 60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Biology and the remaining 20 questions will be from General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
Type of Questions
All the questions will be multiple choice in nature where each question will have four option to answer and candidates have to choose the correct one.
Language of the Question Paper
The question paper will be bilingual i.e. both Hindi and English. Candidates can opt any preferred language to solve the question paper.
Marking Scheme
There will be negative marking in AIIMS MBBS exam. For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded and 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong attempt.
AIIMS MBBS 2019: Cut-off Marks
Candidate must obtain the qualifying marks in the written exam for further admission process. AIIMS MBBS 2019 qualifying marks will be as per the following pattern:
- General category candidates have to obtain 50% marks in the written test.
- OBC candidates need to score at least 45% marks in the qualifying exam and
- SC/ST candidates are required to score only 40% marks.
Process to Resolve the Tie in AIIMS MBBS 2019 Exam
In case of the tie in the entrance test then following rules will be taken into consideration for making merit list:
- Candidate having high percentile in Biology will be given preference the in merit list.
- In case of further tie, then candidate having high percentile in Chemistry will be given preference.
- High percentile in Physics will be considered thereafter if tie persists.
- At last if all the rules mentioned above fails to solve the tie then candidate having higher age will be considered first.
